Reread it. He wasn't being asked to translate something FROM Hebrew but to translate English to Hebrew. That is why I said what I did. Try it sometime.

DIdn't say he COULDN'T, but would not attempt it.
Just because one knows another language does not make it easy to translate ENGLISH to the other language. Try it some time !!

Sorry but why is she still labeled a JW after being disfellowshipped ? Mr Hazzard, why don't you recognize that basic fact ? This story occurred AFTER she was disfellowshipped, hence she is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Thrown out for getting pregnant ? That's not the reason is it ? Most likely she was disfellowshipped for unrepentant wrongdoing.
This reporter needs to take a MORE objective look at her writing.
Out of curiosity, what was Susan Smith's religion when she DROWNED her children in a lake ?

It Seems That My Children Are Not Trained

i am an elder.. after the meeting all the elders were called to the back room.
i thought this was an impromptu elders' meeting.

So the other elders' children are grown up ? It would seem as if they have forgotten how their children behaved when they were that age. It's something they all do, we have three of our own. they are all older now, youngest is 14.
We had some interesting times with them,middle one simply refused to be affected by a good swat on the behind, even when it was called for !
Never was an elder but I think these ones have to think back to their own kids behavior at that age.

Through a friend who was chasing her sister. I was 16, she was 14 at the time. It was at a circuit assembly in a small high school in central Pa. I can still remeber the AWFUL white "Go-Go" boots that she was wearing. (YUCK)
A few weeks later my buddy,old pal invites me to go along with him to a local amusement park completely unaware that these two girls were going to be there. I found her to be a little pushy for me upon getting on the roller coaster she took my arm and put it around her shoulder.
For some reason though we didn't stay together at that time and I sort of lost touch with her until I went to a going away party for someone heading off to Bethel about three years later. Her family was there including her now married sister.
The rest is history, married in 1977 and still together.
