  Sorry I don't remeber you asking so I don't remember declining to answer you.

  As for defending others, do you sit back and allow others to be smeared? Yes that's how I view it, a smear campaign.

  Blood? I see no reason to reject a clear Biblical injunction. Blood fractions? Not going to get involved with it. Doesn't apply to me. No blood period, my choice.

  We have posted about 1975. I STILL have not found a single concise statement that proves 1975 was going to be the END. You see it another way.

  Child abuse/molestation. I am insulted when it is claimed that Jehovah's Witnesses cover up such. It is the BLANKET statement that is insulting. Did you cover for a molester when you were in? Did anyone here knowing cover up a single molestation while they were in? I didn't.

  I have read on several other boards where ALL female witnesses are whores. I take exception to that.

  I have read of people attacking Moslems after 9/11. Should I sit back and allow that to happen to innocent people as well? Should I ignore these when they happen in front of me or worse should I join in?

  Sorry but I will not stand by and watch such happen to anyone, witness, Moslem or any other minority.

  in the light of the second greatest commandment, "love your neighbor as yourself", when you were an active jw would you have stopped to help in the following scenario?

  you are in your car and drive by a woman who is having car trouble... a flat tire.

  she's struggling to get the tire changed.

  Your site was one of the first I visited when I got the internet at home. The pictures of you, in what I can only describe as an "unkempt condition", nearly DROVE me away from using the internet. There you were looking EXACTLY as an apostate was supposed to look. I wonder how many YOU DROVE back to the meetings with those photos?

  2. Personal involvement. I have had a close relative molested by that child's father. The child was taken to the doctor who confirmed that the molestation had occurred. The medical evidence thus became the "second witness". The man was disfellowshipped BEFORE he ever reached the courthouse.No one from the kingdom hall attempted to interfer in any way. The local body of elders supported the mother the entire time. Now before someone yells "new light" this occurred more than twenty years ago.

  I have just reviewed the scan on this page from the misappropriated book. I see nothing there that would change my mind.

  One note plainly has (Very Rare) at the end.

  If the marginal notes ACTUALLY said what you all want them to then maybe there could be some justification.

  Addessing the issue of Germany in WWII, knowing what we do now it's easy to say "I'd lie". Since the average German citizen was not aware of Hitler's intent to kill the Jews, not even most business men. Under those circumstances I would have said "Yes". Of course this is an unfair comparison due to the time that has passed.

  About stealing, maybe I'm a victim of my upbringing but I do not believe it is acceptable to steal even to feed your family. There are other, legal ways to do so. I don't accept that there is no other way.

  I believe that any injustice can be corrected without resorting to theft, lying or any other form of dishonesty. Using your example of the company dumping toxic chemicals, couldn't there be another way? Video the dumping maybe or maybe just tell someone in a position to do something about it? The irresponsible course is the "the ends justifies the means" course. If you steal once for a "good cause" what's to stop you from stealing when you will profit from it? Or lie when it serves your interests?
