Has a song "GRABBED" at you pulling your soul in?
by FreedomFrog init doesn't happen to me much but when it does i can't get enough.... i was driving home from a friends house trying to figure out how to work out my finances/home/college/kids and then the song "eye of the tiger" came on.. i've heard this song many times.
this was one of my fave's growing up but it didn't catch my soul like it did tonight.
i was in awe to the point of needing to hear it 6 times already.

I posted a question on yahoo answers, in regards to the book study arrangem
by PaNiCAtTaCk ini posted the question last night, to try to get some jw's take on the matter.
of course most of them are really showing how brainwashed they are, by quoting the letter almost word for word, gas prices rising etc.. i personally feel that its wonderful, as my parents are getting older and they've been doing 3 meetings a week since the early 1960's.
the way i posted the question, i kind of insinuated that i was a jw struggling with the loss of the meeting.

Something I have not seen in anything I've read is the condition of the truck. Was there a defect that directly contributed to the accident? Was it a KNOWN defect (such as the Firestone tires issue a while back)? Faulty mantainence? I have seen some real rolling wrecks on the road and wonder how companies get away with such.
If there was a known defect and the company took no action then how much responsiblity do they incur?

I hate Walmart!
by Elsewhere ini rarely ever set foot in the place and will go out of my way to avoid shopping there.
tonight i made the mistake of giving walmart the benefit of the doubt and walked in the door.. they didn't have the main item i was looking for, but they did have one other small item.
i headed to the front to check out only to find they had only a few check-outs open and all of the lines were far too long.

"And that's why they build one every three miles and put others out of business."
If that's what occurred you might have a legitimate concern. However that's not what happened here. The last chain store, Ames, closed more than six years before construction ever started on the local WalMart. Nothing locally has closed over the opening of WalMart here.
If business's want to compete with WalMart then they need to step up. One local store has become an authorized service center to repair electronics, something WalMart DOESN'T do.
I think WalMart is good for a local community as it FORCES other businesses to compete. It forces their employees to provide good customer service, which was severely lacking in too many businesses. -

It's not worth the few measly dollars of savings on just a few items to constantly shop there."
Maybe not if you have other options within reasonable driving distance. However, with the price of gas these days I'll drive the four miles to the local WalMart instead of driving 30-40 miles for something else.

Another example of WT coverup!!!! Proof of Deciept!!!!! And why it matters.
by Lady Liberty inmany new ones or lurkers may not know this but charles russell was not the first wt president like they teach!
who cares you may say?
well if i showed you where they acknowledged this in 1993, but as recent as 2001 they were still printing he was, would that not be valuable to you to show others the watchtowers deliberate deciept??

I hate to be difficult but.......
""Zion’s Watch Tower Tract Society was formed on February 16, 1881, with W. H. Conley as president and C. T. Russell as secretary and treasurer"
"The speaker is Charles Taze Russell, the first president of the Watch Tower Society, and the production is the "Photo-Drama of Creation."
When did the name change occur? When did it go from being ZION'S Watch Tower Tract Society to Watch Tower Society?
When one looks at the difference in the name it's possible for both of theses statements to be TRUE!
