When Their Answer is Not Your Answer.......

here is something that has often come up with me and perhaps you've experienced this situation as well.

friends or acquaintances will tell me they "prayed" about this or that and that "they got an answer".

they want me to accept the answer they got from "god".. the problem with this is, many times, what they are praying about directly affects me, at work or elsewhere, and i may not believe that their prayer was answered.

Chances are your friends are full of rubbish. The case is NOT that they prayed and got NEW reveletory answers from God, more likely that give an answer that they FEEL SUBJECTIVELY what they think is the answer from God with out matching thier conclusion on the matter from the bible. To most people God is like Mr. Potato head, a god they fasion out of thier own hearts from a toy box. Prayer and anwer to prayer is always comformed to the bible and consistant with the bible. Prayer is always conforming God's people to his will. If you are of God and you pray sometimes you may not like the result but it is always to the benefit to the believer in the end, God is not a Ginni. Prayer is not for you to get what you want but a means of conforming you and your character to godlyness and integraty a means of sanctification for the believer.

The Police vs. Sting

in the late late 70's and early early 80's the police where absolutly the s**t. they were the coolest new wave rock band back in the day.

thier sond was so cool with a slight punky newwave power pop fuesed with white reagge big complex cords played sparingly with a lot of space and with a trippy corrus-flange-echo guitar sound a ballsy bass lead and really wired out energetic hypnotic poly-rythatic drumming thier sound was never matched.

sting on the otherhand since his revolt from his former mates his sound fluffy sentemental pop rubbish.

hippikon, my sentament are the same. "Real to Real Concophany" and "New Golden Dream 81,82,83,84" and even Sparkel in the Rain were just awsome and can never be matched. Again the same can be said with Paul Weller(solo) will never never never equal the greatness of The Jam. Again this just proves Stings sappy insiped inane pop fluff will never equal to the instramental complexities and lyrical insightfullness of the Police. Sting plays music for old ladies while the Police where an edgy New wave Band from the early 80's. Sting is about as sentamental schock as Depeche Mode a buble gum band for adelecent girls.

Historical Problems in Bible

historical problems, inconsistencies, and contradictions comprise a significant part of the bible: .

(1) "thirty and two years old was he (jehoram--ed.

) when he began to reign, and he reigned in jerusalem 8 years, and departed without being desired.

First, where does it say that Ahaziah began to REIGN
immediately after his father's death? In other words,
Israel was without a fully reigning king for some time
because Ahziah was not old enough to reign. But this
is not unusual in history. Many of the Pharoahs and
kings of england died and yet their eldest son could
not rule until they became an adult. Also, the Bible
often speaks of events as if one happened immediately
after the other and skips of years of history. For
example, when Moses goes into the desert we don't hear
anything about him for quite some time. So there is a
time gap between verse 22:1 and 22:2. So large amounts
of time are often not recorded in between events.
Also, notice in 22:1 it states that they made him
king, but in verse 22:2 it states when he began to
REIGN as king. Who reigned in his stead? Read 22:2,
"His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of
Omri." If I recall correctly, one of the Kings of
england's mother ruled until her son was old enough to
reign. Monarchiesare not like presidencies, the postion of a

king does not have to immediately filled by a reigning king.

In the late late 70's and early early 80's The Police where absolutly the S**T. They were the coolest New Wave Rock band back in the day. The quality of stings silly tunes will never never never out weigh or out do the superiourity of the sound of the Police. Bottom line sucks mayby so so at best and the Police where just super cool.

Is Universal Sovereignty still a big issue with the WTS?

The WT has never believed in the universal soverienty of God They are Socienian and Palagian in doctrine especially in Theology Proper and Soteriology.

BTW why should you care Pad your a papist your semi-pelagian at best you do not believe in the doctrines of grace. You defanatly do not believe that God is soveriegn over the fallen and corupted human will. You dont believe the bible what it says about man and his fallenness in Romans nor of the power and grace of God so why should you care about the doctrine of the soverienty of God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just bought Whirlwind Heat's new album "Do Rabits wonder" They are so cool they Kind of sound like Gand of Four but with out the deconstructed guitar. I'm and old shcool new waver at heart so I'm atrracted to that kindoof sound

I'm going to buy the new Blur record "Think Tank" sometime this week. Sadly, I have this gut feeling which I hope is flawed that it isn't going to be that good. Thier best Albums were back in thier glory days with "Park Life and Great Escape" Has any one got the CD what do you think???????????????????????

When did BC become BCE?

i need to know when the wts started to use bce/ce instead of bc/ad.

was this because secular chronology is said to be out by 2 years, and that jesus was really born in 2bc?

CE/BCE are references that are comonly used by Liberal Christ denying bible scholars who teach that the bible is full of crap and do not submit to it's authority or it's inerrency. Athiests liberal scholars, huminists and Jevovahs Witnesses use the CE/BCE in Lue of the traditional BC/AD before Christ and Anno Dominea that give respect to the Lordship of Christ which the Watch Tower and Jehovah's Witnesses dispieses along with other evil forces in this world.
