  Question for Jerry Bergman

  since i have become a bible christian (reformed presbyterian) i now believe that the scriptures alone are suffesient to counsel.. q: do you hold to a biblical nuthetic counseling ie.

  jay adams and his counseling manuals?.

  No, I like Joy Division and New Order don't get me wrong. But I think Factory had some really other good bands too Like "A Certian Ratio" and "The Happy Mondays" and "ESG" which should not be over looked.

  CounterPoint to Reasoning Book

  as part of helping myself and my family to see past the smoke and curtains, i have started on a journey to write and publish an e-book that will present counterpoints to "reasoning from the scriptures".

  i am looking to see if there are any out there that might contribute, since i want to handle each point covered in that book (and complete it before the end of this system - oops, sometimes flashbacks occur).

  I like Dwane he single handedly lead me out of the WT and into Lord. His point counter point iw very very good.

  Still remember the summer of 91 and getting railroaded out of the WT with photo copy after photo copy of WT "scubalon" while sitting in his living room. Dwane is a very gracious host.

  Dwane if your out there on Sept 12, 13 there will be reformation confrence sponcered by the Allience of Confessing Evangelicals over at 1st Pres Walnut Creek, CA with Dr. Robert Godfrey from Westminster West and Ken Jones From the White Horse Inn reformation radio program.   yes, one resurrection at christ's "parousia," and one at the "end," ...one at the "end.

  so, first century christians placed the second coming of christ, the second "parousia," the "return" of christ...before the "end"...much even before the "end.

  That's cool I am a Post-Millianialist too of the puritian type but I do kind of lean torwards partial preterism

  I guess R.C. Sproul's book on end timed best discribes my position...

  Joy Division?????? Joy Division??????? Speaking of other groups from Facrory Records did you get the Re-Issues of "A Certian Ratio" (ACR)? SoulJazz Records is trying to re-issue some of the old Factory Records stuff.

  you must go way back I live here in the S.F. Bay area I remember way back in the day when there were shows at The Mab Mudabie(sp?) Gardends, On Broadway, The Stone, and The Keystone in Palo Alto and Gilman Street in Berkley and the Berkley Square. Remember seeing The Offs, and The Germs and X. Speaking of X are you from L.A.? Love that Xeene Xervanca(sp?) Did you go to shows at the Roxy, or at Whiskey or at the Olimpic? Still got old copies (2) of Sniffing Glue.

  Faraon, even though your world view is internally inconsistent and self-contradictory thus rendering your judgments on inerrant scripture invalid and inane. I will still give you an answer to the questions posed at the top of your post. Your question are dealt in a Covenantal manor or what we Reformed (Calvinists) call Covenant Theology.

  Faraon asks from 1 st Cor.

  1. Who is the head of the woman?
  2. Was the woman created for the congregation or the man?
  3. Would it be adultery for a woman to have sex with the man's boss, or his boss's boss?
  4. Would it be spiritual fornication to bypass the man for an organization?

  Answer:

  1. her husband
  2. For her husband
  3. It is not either or it is yes to both
  4. It would be Covenant disobedience. The answer is complex given the nature of the Watchtower and that the WT is not a true Christian community outside from covenant with God. So the best way to put is: A. If she bypasses her husband for a false religion like the WT, then yes it is covenant disobedience to the marriage covenant. B. If she bypasses her husband, that is go to a bible believing Christian church while her pagan unbelieving husband sits at home and watches the Seattle Seahawks get their buts kicked on a regular and weekly basis, then no, she is not in covenant disobedience. She is just living out who she is a Christian. As long as she is obedient to her old man in marriage and her husband does not command her to break Gods Law then every thing is cool. And in either case it is not breaking the 7 th commandment
