Hmmmm, Ok, maybe I should listen to his lyrics a little closer. I wasnt aware that he downed woman and gays. i have heard about 4 of his songs.

Eminem and censorship
by Uni girl inwhen my son came home from the meeting, he told me that they were told not to listen to eminem because (in his words) he's bad.. i can not stomach the kind of censorship that is put upon people...aren't these things a personal choice or at least a parents choice.
by censoring everything they make a child go behind their parents back and close the line of communcation which could result in some real harm.
i listened to eminem with my son and whilst some of the things are very offensive it was quite clear to me that although he was talking in the first person, he was actually expressing what he thought societal problems were,(no one think bob marley actually son the sheriff do they??).

Uni girl, I agree. As the mom of a 16 yr old boy I feel I have instilled enough decency in him, and I trust he is not going to do something stupid because he listened to eminem. The only thing I ask is that he not let his little sister hear some of the music. When I look back at some of the music I listend to.........

still in doubt
by gotcha init's my 1st time to post here..i'm basically an open-minded person.
so it has always bothered me to think that there is only one true religion.i've always told this to my mom but she thinks otherwise.
i love my mom so much that i would do anything to make her happy but she knows that i have doubts.

My First Birthday Celebration

having been brought up in the organization since age 3, the only memory of a birthday celebration i had was an old photograph of when i was 2. in front of the camera was my sister and i, with a cake baked in a regular rectangle cake pan, frosted, and with two candles sitting on top.

come now, i know the amount of people who "realized that wt doctrine was in serious error" and politely handed in their letter of resignation has to be very small.
the level of bitterness and hostility towards the closest-to-what's-biblical organization has to develop some other way.. what did you do?

Still, I was never baptised because of the bad behavior I saw there. I ran away! They still ask me to attend, and they are very ashamed of what I saw. So I was not kicked out in any way shape or form!!! Now I am back with my more decent friends, no not perfect just decent and honest.

Still, as far as going out and getting drunk with "wordly friends" I never had friends who were drunks until I associated with jws. That goes on plenty in the org. as you well know im sure. And it is swept under the rug in most cases.

by LDH ini spoke with my sister last night back in ny about this whole jw thing.
(she is da'd).
we were discussing my pregnancy and the fact that my mom hasn't even bothered to say anything except for the fact that since i'm 'inactive with doubts' the baby would die at armegeddon anyway.
