Amazing I feel like you do. Also, as a mother i hate the "me first" mentality. Thats why families today are falling into shit! I hate selfish mothers and fathers. They need a kick in the ass. Although I see many in christianity I think its wrong to condone it. i have never seen a family with selfish parents be anything but disfunctional. My children are before me or anyone else.

sure, to those who are afraid of looking into books dealing with the occult, for fear of being possessed or what have you, i write this as a vent because it makes me laugh when i hear people assume that the three are the same, they aren't, .
and the reality is that even though the three get bunched up as the same, many times it is the ignorance of the practitioners which keeps the ignorance alive.

Oppression of Women
by MrMoe inthis is a bit lengthy, but is a very big issue with me, and that is the issue of women's rights.
i do agree with women allowing their husbands to make a final decision, being on how women think with their hearts and men think with their heads, making choices often times more logical ones.
but, the husband according to god is supposed to love his wife as his own flesh.

Fred, you complain more than all the women I know put together. MrMoe, as tolerant as I feel I am toward others religious beliefs, I can honestly say I hate the muslim religion. Yes hate is the word. All the jewish women I know have an equal foot in their marriage, and are treated very good by their husbands. I also hated the watchtowers view of women. I hated to see a publicly known wife beater give all correct answers and being pat on the back, while a decent man df'd for smoking. They really make me sick.

dc, I dated a satanist years ago, he followed anton laveys teachings, its not what people think. They are NOT the same as christian satanist. the man I am with now is pagan, and he is a wonderful father to our daughter. That didnt go over too big though with my jw family. My sister made the most noise over it, funny though her jw husband was cheating doing drugs, gambling, was a drunk to boot! But at least he beleived in jehovah!

deal with your anger?
i at times am consumed with anger at the wts, and to those who will tell me to just move on, well i did move on but its not so easy to totally dismiss everything when you still have family there.

You guys are all great,thanks, thats another thing that initially shocked me, through my studies I always heard about "apostates" and how they were terrible people, just another lie. Waiting, my anger isnt connected to my separation, he wasnt a jw. I am just so relieved I wasnt baptised! The anger really flares when i read about horrible mistreatments by/of jws, and when reasoning with jw family is like banging my head against the wall. How can they be so thick!

Memorial ultimatum

i heard a piece of gossip the other day from a friend in california that i thought was outrageous and right on par for the borg.... it seems a 20-something sister in a southern calafornia congregation has dedided she is one of the annointed much to the chagrin of her elder body.they have tried everything to disuade her from this path.in a last ditch effort to come up with arguments against her, the elders'wives were sic'd on her and they came up with a piece of information that they felt would be useful...it seems this sister is also pregnant with her first child and is very much looking forward to breast-feeding.so the brothers told her that if she wants to partake at the next memorial she can't breastfeed---because the wine would transfer to the milk and the baby is not annointed!this sister is heart-broken,she feels she must choose between her motherly obligation and her spiritual one!.the advice i passed on to her via my grape-vine was to think long and hard what decision she might make if for some reason her baby needed a life-saving blood transfusion...if the borg won't let her take a sip of wine it will surely not let her save her childs life with a transfusion!.
