by Jokemyster inor an apostate..hate that term..i walked away from it, i dont believe any of it anymore.
so who is going to be the first to tell me to leave so as not to taint the board?.
i am 48 female married 30 yrs to same man, very moral, no drugs no alcohol no smokes..just common plain jane here..since i dont believe does this make me bad association..if it does i laugh in your face...now having said that and getting past this, sounds like so many here are disgruntled..if so why do you stay?

What about new light?
by spectromize ini just wanted to ask a question concerning the expression," new light," whenever the brothers and sisters are talking and when we suddenly see a new point in the watchtower or a new teaching from the society as far as our beliefs such as the change in doctrine like the generation teaching.
is it really accurate to say new light or just plain and simple error ?.
you see i grew up as a catholic and before i became a witness we considered our church and the pope as god's representative.

Why is it considered new light when they are forced to change things? for example, in 1975, the year came and went, they had no choice but to change things.

Thank you all, this is a very kind bunch. Frenchy, i am 37(mentally 15 yrs old). Up till a few yrs ago I was athiest. My mom and sis converted to jw well after i had left home.I will tomorrow tell them I wish not as of yet to be baptised, thanks,

Spectromize, I am afraid you hit the nail on the head when you said....."If we really do have the truth we should welcome scrutiny without fear" Then maybe someone can tell me why scrutiny is not welcome, and i see fear?

Spectrom, I may be wrong, however, I dont think Frenchy is saying that we cant understand without them, i think is is questioning this kind of thinking,I happen also to think anyone can understand the deep things of the binle, anybody saying you cant is trying to control. in my opinion.

Frenchy, that poem is absolutely beautiful, made me a bit teary eyed. And seven, that also is one of my favorite poems. Pink Floyd lyrics are quite profound to me. Any floyd fans?

Blood Fraction
by claudia inok i need help here, i want to know how i can justify taking blood fractions, from stored and collected blood?
how do i answer my relatives, the people who are the most wonderful people in the world even though they are roman catholic, they are not trying to persecute me, they love me, so i dont even want to go the persecution route.also where is the biblical support for fractions.
i feel it is selfish to take from bloodbanks, but not give in return, and on top of that hear badmouthing of bloodbanks.

Frenchy, i thank you for your time in responding. you make alot of sense. And something else to think about, it is not ok to reinsert your own blood back into your body, but ok to take others blood in the form of fractions? i would feel much better even medically reinserting my own blood. and cant someone get disease from certain blood fractions?
