Yes, I live with my bf but of course my folks do not know that. They think I just have a roomate. As far as lying about meetings perhaps you guys are right but what is sad is the fact that I have not seen my parents since I moved out and have only talked to my dad once. I think they know I just need to sort of be by myself right now. It sure did feel good to pay the rent this month! I'm beggining to like the real world!!

We are already 5 days late but thank goodness I just started my very first waitressing job and made my first $45 tonight. (Its a new restaurant and have had not had their offical grand opening night yet so tips will get better) I love being on my own although my mom still tries to at least get me going to meetings again. She won't help me entirely (she says when I was living at home everything was paid for so now that I have moved I made the choice to pay for everything on my own) But today she did say she would give me like $30 to hold me over Anyways, she has mentioned meetings also (I've lied and told her I still go. What do you guys think of this?) I think eventually I will have to think of something else. I mean, she's already asked if I have let the elders in the new hall know me so they can transfer my new literature over and if not then the elders from the old hall will want to talk to me.

Finally downloaded the application for America's Next Top Model. :)
by stillAwitness inwell, i been "living in sin" for about 5 days now and aside from an elder asking if i was gonna still do a talk i was scheduled for this past monday (i told him no of course.
he knows i moved out and only asked about my literature) i finally worked the nerve to download the application for this season's america's next top model.
i've been modeling for some time now and i figured what the hell...i have nothing to lose but $3.95 in postage.

I can't post my pic now. Just not quite ready for that yet but one day if I am ever ready I will. Liquid you are right about my age and how it can be considered "too old" but as far as commercial modeling that market has just begun for me at this age. I never had an intention to be a supermodel. I have model friends who are all like "oh man, I want to do Vogue and Elle magazine" and I'm the one who wants to do a Gap or Neutrogena ad. lol. And catalog modeling is great! The money is very good in it. Its not glamourous but it pays the bills.

Honest opinion here.... I don't think anyone on ANTM has been model material. ANTM is for girls who don't have the looks or the motivation to make it on thier own. Plus, every girl that has won, hasn't really made it any further then the prize contracts. Except for the girl who is a reality TV star now. You know, the one marrying the brady bunch guy! But I'm a huge fan of the show. I've watched every episode. So good luck to ya! Maybe we'll see you on there! You said you do runway shows, do you already belong to an angency? Or were those just the 'open call' sort of things? Oh and one more thing.... you said that you wanted avoid being df'd or da'd at all costs. Don't you think that being on that show and having to do the nudie photos, and sexy bedroom photo shoots with the boys going to get you df'd? Oh and then everyone would find out that you live your boyfriend.
You are right about that one. ANTM is a reality show so 50% of the things they potray are not so accurate about the modeling world ( a bunch of 20 somethings just starting out in high fashion modeling? Its unheard of in the real modeling world. Most models start out at 16 and there careers are over by then unless they become household names) But the show is a huge stepping stone especially when you are someone like me: 22 and only 5"8 which according to the modeling world limits me to commercial work. But ANTM (if you play your cards right on the show) will get you noticed. Not all the girls get to do huge things (most of the winners are made stars for about a few weeks then when the hype dies down there are castings just like anyone else) but there are a few who got signed to good agencies. I was with an agency a year ago...long story but I'm not with them anymore. You are right about being on a show like that being a risk to me being D'F. That is one of the main reasons I never applied. But now that I am sitting here wondering what the hell I am going to do the rest of my life..I mind's a well start somewhere.

But seriously, if you've got the looks, then there's no reason you shouldn't go for it. And if you do get in, can you imagine how much that'll drive your family and former fair weather friends nuts??? I bet! I don't know if I would broadcast that fact that I was a witness. Don't know if I'd want to talk about that on TV. It would hurt my mom about the things i would say. I look nothin like Naomi but I do have the legs, skin tone and smile :)

Well, I been "living in sin" for about 5 days now and aside from an elder asking if I was gonna still do a talk I was scheduled for this past Monday (I told him no of course. Its about 14 pages on every question imaginable including a 3 page contract that must be signed. Its silly for me to think I have a shot (the rumor is that at least 10,000 girls apply ever season for a spot on the show)
But what the hell right? Jayla, the self-proclaimed Jehovah's Witness from 2 seasons ago was on the show http://wwwimage.upn.com/shows/top_model5/images/models/bio_pic_jayla.jpg so if she can do it so can I! Besides, I've been ridiculously bored since moving out and my bf doesn't even own a TV so I spend my days watching his rooster (yes, a rooster in the middle of downtown Atlanta-only my weird boyfriend would) and teaching myself how to cook (still mastering the art of not burning french fries)
Wish me luck guys!

An elder just called me...just need some quick advice on how to handle it.
by stillAwitness inhey guys,
quick question: one of the elders just called me about a talk i am supposed to give tomorrow night.
well its obvious he is not aware that i don't live at home anymore (he made the comment that he hasn't seen me in awhile but figures its cause of the recent district convention stuff) and for me to let him know either way wether or not i would be giving the talk.

Blondie is right. He has my cell number!! I am a bit invisible in the hall. I will go ahead and call and tell him I will not be doing the talk. I think I will go ahead and call now (its 11 p.m) and I'm almost sure it will go straight to the voicemail. thanks guys! -StillA

Hey guys, Quick question: one of the elders just called me about a talk I am supposed to give tomorrow night. Well its obvious he is not aware that I don't live at home anymore (he made the comment that he hasn't seen me in awhile but figures its cause of the recent district convention stuff) and for me to let him know either way wether or not I would be giving the talk. Should I let him know I don't live at home anymore or let my parents handle it in due time? (They go to another hall) Hope, I don't bother you guys too much for advice. This is all new to me and I want to avoid being D'F or D'A as much as possible.
