I didn't get a chance to "prepare" my WT this week with Blondie's notes so I ended up skipping the meeting and here I am in the local library browsing JWD. Funny aint it?
I just can't see myself sitting through that WT study without the chance to fully grasp what the FDS is REALLY trying to say.
i tried to ask elders and they got upset with me.

I was just thinking that too. If David Christopher is your real name you may want to change that immedietly just in case. People on here are real helpful. I know how it can be when you've got questions that nobody seems to either not want to or just can't ansewr. Good Luck!
i'm not sure where this idea came from, but apparently it's been discovered that hardly anyone is actually "laughing out loud" when using the term "lol".
lol if they really are laughing out loud, there is something wrong with them (they could be retarded or have a bad sense of humor lol).
please show your support for my new cause in which i attempt to bannish the term lol from the english language.

I read your story Ian. It brought me to tears. I've always thought that if by some crazy, catastrophical chance that my parents decided to leave this cult it would be no problem for me to leave with them. After all there my parents.
But seeing what you went through really put things in perspective for me. The control they have on you-I don't know if a psychologist can even explain it. Its incredible. It constantly makes me fearful of my future, my plans, how and when I will finally make my own break free and what the outcome will be. Anyway...

but the brother gave me such "loving counsel" letting me know i have to work on the study point again: use of an outline beacause i was supposed to actually write out an outline instead of just reading straight from the script.

so i'm in service this morning and the young sister i was working with had what they call now a "doorstep bible study" .
its been encouraged by the fds that if one has a regular return visit with an interested one that one can hold a bible study by having them read one or two paragraphs out of the require brochure and ask the questions right at their doorstep.. i've never actually seen it done and boy let me tell you it was the most awkard, ridiculous thing i have ever seen!
the poor sister (who was nothing older thatn 15) is standing at the door having this grown woman read a paragraph out of the require brochure, and after having her ansewring the question and read a scripture she then then tells her she'll see her next week!

Imagine how weird it is for a JW to come to your door not to just leave magazines with you every week but to attempt to have a bible study with you standing in your pajamas at the crack of dawn on your doorstep under a 20 degree wind chill.

i dunno spectre. i just finished my first semester. that's it. i see the next year as imperative to me leaving this world behind but who knows. i just don't wanna be out in the world and not be financially secure because what's i leave i don't want to have to come back so someone can say: "see that; we told you there was nothin in the world."

What is this? English Class? Sometimes being at the meetings, going through the routine gets too be so overwhelming and ridiculous. I've got a full load of classes to worry about, tuition to pay, a job to find asap and a boyfriend who keeps drunk dialing me at 3 am every friday night just to tell me he loves me.
Sometimes I want to just come home, have all my stuff packed, jump on a Greyhound and leave this life behind.
A girl full of dreams with no where to go. How sad.

i have a friend that was dumb enough to allow two elders in his house at the same time to talk to him, he let them in.
i have told him over and over again never to talk to two elders at the same time.
i'll get to the point.
I had no idea this is the way it is done.
Good thing I know now- a lot of the things I get from this site are good for my mental preperation for when i finally escape.
