some of the kids my age in my hall are just an insult to my generation.

at the service meeting last week i was talking with one and we were near the front of the hall and there were a bunch of little kids running and jumping around the stage.

she goes: "what a shame.

as some of you may know (from my previous posts), i'm studying with the jw's (& have been for 2 years) but have decided not to be baptized after reading some of the information and links from this site.

however, i am supposed to be having one last book study to finish the worship the one true god book.

when i do this study, i'm considering being upfront with my bible study conductor, telling her some of my reasons for deciding not to become a jw.

It is quite interesting how JW will defend their teachings with their own publications that back them up. I always think of it like this:

Buying a new car. Am I gonna read Honda Magazine to research the good and bad in buying a Honda? Yeah right! Of course there gonna tell me nothin but the good and none of the bad-accident reports, etc. One would go to a Consumer Reports magazine for unbiased information.

Of course, doing research about JW teachings involves the same thing. Think of this site and others as your trusty Consumer Report. No yearly subsciption needed.

i had a talk last week(by the way thanks to everyone who helped me out

but the brother gave me such "loving counsel" letting me know i have to work on the study point again: use of an outline beacause i was supposed to actually write out an outline instead of just reading straight from the script.

so now that the entire midwestern region seems to know about this "confidential" judicial committee, i suppose it was time to get started with it.

we arranged to have both accusers come at specific times.

i ask, please, for your level-headed, thoughtful advice.

I have been engulfed in parts 1-4 for the past 30 mins. To think things like this happen-that something like this could of happend to me as a little girl? That it could even still happen now? The thought sickens me.

i have a minimal goal weight and a maximum goal weight.

if you are on a diet, what do you do to keep yourself motivated to staying on the diet.

At 5"7 1/2 and 114 pounds I need nothing more than a diet. I need weight gain supplements.

hMMM... never heard it in that way. i've always been taught that when you're in the KH you are in a sacred place. no gum chewing, now "selling" of your avon products (my mom got in trouble for that one once! Oh mother-you are quite the buisness lady! )

how many here got the raw end of a deal and got punished for something while another person who did the exact same thing got off without hardly a whisper?

Plenty of times!

Its all about your status. If I was to cancel out on a talk the school overseer would look at me like the bad little JW that I am.

Let that little heifer whose an auxiliary pioneer and never misses the chance to comment on a "personal expierence" she's had to endure cancel a talk and it "oh thats alright little one!"

She goes: "What a shame. That is like Jehovah's throne up there."

I go: "Woluldn't his throne be in heaven and not on a some man-made piece of wood?"

She's like: "well this is Jehovah's house..." stutter stutter and then she says nevermind and changes the subject.

What's up with that "This is Jehovah's house" lingo anyway? Its getting so old.
