Do you still call it "the truth"?
by True North indo you find youself still calling it "the truth" even though you are an ex-jw?
for instance, in one posting i just read, the poster wrote "when i was in the truth..." .
not a big deal, perhaps, but really not such a good thing either as it's a habitual holdover from the program of mental conditioning we were subject to.

I never called it "the truth" when I was a witness. It always seemed so pretentious.

Noah's Ark ....How did Noah......................
by KAYTEE inhow did noah put bitumen on the underside of the ark, did he get his family to lift it up allowing him to slide under and paint this on?
the underside being the most important face to be treated needed to be waterproof to make sure it did not allow leaks to occur, and had to stand up to extreme conditions for a whole year.

Personal Jesus was originally done by Depeche Mode. Marilyn Manson covered that song all sorts of proper a few years ago.

I know what you mean LDB. However, I think it was a good thing that Nirvana killed the crappy wanna-be pop metal hair band genre. I really hated Nirvana and never really bothered listening to them until after Kurt died but I rather like them now. Virtuoso's they weren't, but their music resonated with a crowd that was tired of big haired bands doing lousey "rock" ballads with an Eddie Van Halen style solo thrown in the middle.
