I always loved Brummie's avatar. What's not to love about a kitty with a bow tie?

hey guys,.
listen, we were all "brothers" and "sisters" at one time and it didn't really mean shit.
i'd've turned my back on the lot o' ya when i was a jw and i found out you were apostates.. but now we're all truly brothers and sisters.
There's a helpline set up for people who need help. 800-why-1914. It's manned whenever possible, so you get a live person to talk to. Marilyn, who mans the helpline is a counselor and an xjw.
I helped out on the helpline for a number of years when circumstances allowed it. It was a learning experience for me... I had never realized the level of pain so many are in.

ah, another fine day in apostaland.
question of the day: what makes you think you are right?
maybe you are headed down that broad and spacious road, something to think about.
Welcome Andy C.
You have much to learn. Most people here have invested countless hours researching and have learned things about the organization that prove beyond any doubt that the organization is a fraud. If you haven't done the research, then you know not of what you speak.
Pull up a chair...do your homework. You will be amazed.

I am speachless. That Damn Watchtower society has more blood on its' hands. What a horrible shame.
Puternut, I never knew...I am so sorry.... You are missed.

if all of the men on the gb were born into or raised within the wts walls, it can pretty much means they have been insulated from the real world.
other than the lawyers (who else would have a lot of experience living in the real world?
) who else would be directing what gets printed or not?
I've thought this to be the case for some time now.

They want to protect the money at all costs...

leaving the organization, it is like packing for a journey you can choose what you take with you, and what you leave behind (other than people).
there are things i chose to take with me.
for example, i have used the sales training to my advantage over the years.
Thanks for all the responses. I have a healthy dose of skepticism too... I left my naivite inside the kingdom hall.
Lady Lee, I took my kids with me too...and I'm soooo grateful for that. I used to get nervous before giving talks at the kh. I think part of that was that you had to be so careful that you said the right words...and there were always the copious notes camoflaged in the Bible so no one would see. Everyone was judging you in so many ways. It was no wonder we got nervous.
I give hour long presentations now for my job with no notes whatsoever, and I don't get the least bit nervous. I actually think it's fun.
