  my daughter is in the hospital with pneumonia, and possibly a blood clot in her lung.

  they'll be testing through the night...apparently, her heart is enlarged as well.

  she is scared... and if her jw father catches wind of it, he will be there trying to intefere with her treatment... he lives close by to her, so i'll be flying down in the morning....to head him off at the pass.

  The drama continues. Thankfully Ali doesn't know about this.

  Her jw dad sent an email out to all his jw aquaintances asking them all to send cards to the hospital...and or cards to her home...and says he will give out her address if they privately email him. (he included her room number at the hospital, which is a secure number and not to be given out because of her crazy x husband) She would freak if she knew he was giving this information out. In the email he talks about his efforts to get her and her 12 year old daughter into the organization....and about his apostate x wife (that would be me) who is interfering with his efforts Ali has told him repeatedly that she is not interested, and that he is not to bring up the subject with her daughter. He ignors her, and continues to do so... in fact, he picked her up after school and took her out to lunch without permission. I went back to the house to check on her, and she was nowhere to be found. Talk about panic! He had her all along. Not something you want to go through when she just came through surgery!

  He brought his witnessing bag to the hospital waiting room, thinking he would witness to her doctor when he came in after the surgery to talk to us. The doctor didn't give him a chance to do that. I had warned her nurse ahead of time that he is a jw and might try to interfere.

  Anyway, the email was horrifying. He sent it to someone he didn't realize would pass on the info... and they read it to me. I could sue for slander. truly. Gonna wait to see what happens when the dust settles.

  Still pooped...but dealing with it.

  Ali made it through surgery ok. She is resting. There's pain, but she is managing.

  I am pooped. Her kids are wearing me out...but in a good way... Gonna go get some rest...

  Well, the surgery was postponed until tomorrow at 7:30 due to a scheduling conflict in the OR. So we get to go through another night of nerves... I'll be at the hospital at 6 am.

  Some positive stuff has come out of it...Ali's JW dad is really trying to be the dad she needs... No jw stuff at this point... except in conversations to my granddaughter... but he seems to have stopped that as of today... His sister, also a jw, actually appologized for the way she treated Ali.

  Her x keeps calling on her cell, but he hasn't shown up at the house...and she doesn't pick up the phone when he calls.

  I'll post once she's through surgery.

  They are doing Ali's pacemaker tomorrow morning at 8:00am. She is scared, of course.

  Well, she is progressing. They will do the pacemaker on Monday. She has been losing fluid rapidly, which is what they want...her lungs are steadily clearing. One day at a time...

  She has congestive heart failure. That's what caused the fluid in her lungs. Her heart is very weak. They are puting in a pacemaker and giving medication to strengthen the heart muscle. Then it will be diet and excerCise. She is 34. She will have to go on disability at least short term. LuCkily she has coverage. Her doctor is the best. He said she qualifies for permanent disability. Her job is very stressful. He sAid the damage to her heart was probably caused by a virus. Her jw father has been in every day. I've warned the staff he may try to interfere and she has told the that she would take blood if it came to that. In th mean time her lunatic x husband has found out that she is in the hospital and called and threatened to take the kids. By court order he only gets supervised visits. Luckily I'm here for now. Have to come up with a gAme plan for when She comes home. We don't know when. They have to get all the fluid from her lungs and make sure there is no more infection before they can do the pacemaker. I am numb. I don't have internet. Just my blackberry. So I can't update too often. Hate the tiny keypad Coffee
