  Well, this just shows how much I know. I thought masons were just ppl that built houses!

  My grandfather was a mason... my grandmother an Eastern Star. My mother said their little "club" was demonized, but hey, to a JW EVERYTHING is demonized.

  Figures... I've got cults on both sides of my family.

  ok i think i finally have made a decision

  soooooo any of you thats been following my threads thanks (and poor u) i have changed my mind so many times.

  i have finally decided that i must stop trying to get reinstated, basically i got dfed 9 months ago had a boyfriend i felt i loved, was married tho still to my hubby who is only just starting to divorce me, (hes waited coz he keeps saying we could try again for the sake of our daughter but he would expect me to be completly in the 'truth') i hid the bf from my family coz they were so heartbroke and i decided to please them i would get reinstated and then fade, but as time went on i realised that wasnt an option as with a family like mine it would be so hard to do, plus there was the bf still hidden poor guy, anyway we spilt up several times, i was a complete physco i kept blaming him for everything,.

  anyway last month i put my letter of reinstatement in and sat there scared stiff that they would reinstate me (as that would defo mean the end of the bf) they didnt reinstate me, and i blamed the bf and we spilt for good;.

  I see so much of myself in you. I'm a ppl pleaser too. I want everyone to be happy and be happy with me. It's just not possible.

  I stayed in too long just because I thought my mother would have a nervous breakdown if I left. I finally had to leave because I would have a nervous breakdown. Yes, she took it hard, but I had to do it for ME. I was 22. You are 30. You have a daughter. Do you REALLY want your daughter subjected to all this craziness? Are you ready to shun her when she faces a similar situation?

  It's really sad what this cult does to ppl and how some of us don't ever seem to grow up. I'm now 38, and I still don't feel grown up. My counsler told me I have the life skills of a 28 year old. When I was 28, I had the skills of a 18 year old. Women your age should be able to live their life the way they see fit, and their parents should have let go a LONG time ago. Man, are JWs ever screwed up in the head!

  I feel for you, I really do, but it's time to grow up.

  For Parents: Suggest replacements for Bible CDs at night for our kids?

  our kids are used to listening to what they call "bible tapes" at night when they go to bed.

  (my book of bible stories/death, and learn from great teacher cds) we haven't had too much objection to them for now until we can move from our current town to our new location - where we can do a full-on fade.. my question: we would like to start weaning them off the bible tapes now.

  anyone have any good suggestions nighttime story cds they could listen to instead of the wt kids crapola?.

  My children's school suggests reading to them at one grade level above what they are... So if you have a Kindergartener, then 1st grade level to them.

  i haven't seen him for 18 years although we have had occassional contact.

  he's coming in to toronto next week and wants to know if we can get together to catch up.

  But honestly, if he will break this rule that was HUGE when I was in, I would say that he's pretty liberal and going to dinner with him might turn into a good thing. But... um... not that good...

  I under stand the thinking of the terrorist very well they are just faith followers of their faith as they see it. Just like the Jehovah's Witnesses.

  I just got fooled by a fake Paypal email

  i just got an email that stated that another email address had been authorized to my paypal account, and that if this was not correct, to click the link below.. so (big mistake) i clicked the link.

  i get a phony but convincing looking "paypal" page saying that the page had been removed, and to click the link below to go to the home page.. so i clicked that linkwww.paypal.com/someotherstuff, so i think i'm good to go here.

  i log in, and then it takes me to a page where i am asked to give my credit card number as a "security measure".

  I got one the other day that had the last four numbers of my credit card AND the expiration date.

  That one scared me. I did the spoof@paypal thing and yes, it was a fake... but how did they get that info???
