the city of Babylon was eventually destroyed more than 1000 years ago and has not been rebuilt until today. and nobody is living there.
It is being rebuilt and has been (on and off) since the 1980s.
so a user named "the-question" said the jw's were right about 607 bce.. this is your chance brother to prove us all wrong.. we all can't wait to hear from you :).

you have to decide which parts you accept and/or reject.
I accept it as a Book written by various men 2,000 - 3,000 years ago. It's one of the most important collection of historical manuscripts ever.
But it's claim to be inspired by God is of course laughably untrue.
It's claim about what would happen to the Land of the Chaldeans is just one of many examples.

But that has no place in this thread.
It does - because if the Bible is demonstrably wrong then it's waste of time talking about its prophecies.

Jeremiah 25:12 “‘But when 70 years have been fulfilled, I will call to account the king of Babylon and that nation for their error,’ declares Jehovah, ‘and I will make the land of the Chal·deʹans a desolate wasteland for all time.
Then i used the Insight book to establish what happened in the 70 years before 539. so from 609 to 539.
Yes good point.
The 70 years have to finish at 539 - if you're take the exegesis approach. But the WT has to take the eisegesis approach. The other point to note that the Bible states that the land of the Chaldeans would be a desolate wasteland for all time.
That land today is a mixture of Iran/Iraq/Syria. And it has millions of inhabitants! So the Bible was wrong.

539 is a verifiable, historical fact. It is indisputable.
539 is calculated using secular sources. The same indisputable secular sources that point to 587. You managed to read all of GTR and not pick up on that?

You believe the conclusions of others but you don't know.
If you accept 539 then you believe the conclusions of others.
If you accept WT doctrines then you believe the conclusions of others.

Anything after 2017 does not add up to me.
If nothing happens in 2017 and my guesses turn out to be wrong;
And I guess it still doesn't add up to you.

That's what you and others think.
No - that's what the evidence proves. It's that same evidence that provides 539. It's a huge body of physical evidence I'm talking about. The tax receipts, the Egibi Archive. If you're happy to accept 539 then you have to accept 587. Doubt 587 and then you have to doubt 539.
But, WT interpretation of the Bible does not. And WT views on 607 have not been disproven.
Yes they have. Repeatedly.
Previously you said:
WT overlapping doctrine only adds 20 years. 2016, time is up.............................
and you said:
Anything after 2017 does not add up to me.
So - I say yet again:
Jan 1st 2018.
Will you post on this forum and be man enough to admit the the JW 1914 doctrine was crap.

GTR does not prove 587
No - the copious amounts of evidence from the Neo Babylonian era does.
And you stated:
2016, time is up............................
So - answer my question.
