Why focus on the old age of the governing body and how hard it is for them to swallow food when criticizing them? Can you not separate the advanced age of the body from your criticisms of their doctrinal stance?
Most cultures throughout human history have encouraged the young to show the utmost respect for their elders. The ageism that is manifested in this place is disgusting to comforter. You people contemplate what I am saying and mend your ways. You may criticize jw beliefs and practices. But you have no right to be anti-gerontological in ya orientation.

It depends on how you define free speech. If one lives in a country where free speech is permitted and valued, then one has the right to free speech, no matter what religion one is. But free speech does not just permit you to say anything you please. Even if one has free speech, a Christian wants to refrain from speech that is hateful, unloving, ungodly, and subversive. Humans are never totally free. We live in and through others.

I expect negativity toward jws when I step up in this place. One can understand that. But if one says there is free speech exercised and allowed in this place, then that one should mean what he says. Do not discriminate and allow ex-jw to break all the rules.

???When I was in the Borg I used to hypocritically dismiss people simply because they swore. Since leaving I have learned to stop judging people on such a superficial basis. Swearing (or "cussing" as you call it) is NOT the measure of what someone is on the inside. Far from it in fact.???
I do not write people off because they cuss. But I do believe, based on the Bible and Buddhism and life experience, that what one says comes from the heart.
To qualify, a true Christian might sometimes get angry and utter a profane term. The ransom can cover these sins. But certain inhabitants in this place cuss all the time. I am hard pressed to believe that this language is not coming from the heart.
I will answer Hmmm tomorrow. Now I gotta go celebrate the Laker's victory with a few libational offerings of the nonalcoholic sort.
