  I said no such thing. I don't know which dictionary you use, but pull it out and you will see that the word "negative" can be defined as "consisting of negation." The catholic church and others use the word in this way.

  My intent is never simply to create mischief anywhere. My vocation in life is described at Isaiah 61:1-3. I want to provide comfort to others. But I do it differently. I comfort through discomfort. So, as I said, I will neither affirm nor deny having used other monikers in the past here and other places. But my present client does not think it would be in his best interest to divulge said details you are fishing after.

  I am using it in this place to mean "consisting of a negation." just as the catholic church defines evil as a negative or privation. So one can negatively respect somone in that there is a negation of harmful actions or speech towards the other.

  That is your assertion. I know better. It is like when you show love to someone by not doing anything harmful to them. One could call that type of love, negative love, in that the love shown involves a privation of that which is evil.

  Disrepect can also be positive in that it involves actions fomented toward an other. It is only negative in its orientation toward an other. It may also be negative in that one witholds things from another out of disrepect for the other.

  There is a time to be ossified and a time not to be ossified in one's thinking. When one stands for what is right, one should remain ossified in thinking.

  Fraudbacker brings up the molestation issue again. That is his bread and butter nowadays. If that is what makes him happy . . .

  But let's consider the papacy for a moment, mr fraud. Look at what the vatican has permitted for years when it comes to molestation. They moved men from parish to parish, a digusting practice, that did not have one thing to do with age. A young bishop or pope would have done the same thing. Yet, even thought I can castigate the pope and his posse without talking about the gas that comes out his bottom, you cannot do the same for the governing body. Why is that? Cause you are a disrespectful and malevolent ageist.

  ???As for the issue of showing disrespect for the old men of the Governing Body, there are two components to this: the fact that they make horrible decisions that deserve disrespect, and the fact that they are old men who are so ossified in their thinking that they are unable to think in ways other than what they've been used to for many years makes them unable to make correct decisions when faced with new circumstances.???

  One can criticize, not respect, the actions of a person without dissing them for external accidents such as being old. I have used the pope as an example and my example is quite valid. You are normally disrectful to those who disagree with you anyway. So it is nothing for you to diss old people for being old. Go on. Lead people on the path to Gehenna. You think it is more important to win an argument than be a decent human being. You also sound like you woulda agreed with Hitler's solution for old people. Just because someone is old does not mean that they should be put out to pasture. Get a life, fraudbacker.

  Do not twist the Bible. There is a world of difference between narratological techniques and falt out abusive speech directed toward the elderly and you know it. IT is one thing for me to say that the pope has trouble getting up staris and has put on a bit of weight to saying that he cannot control his gas and he chokes his food down. It is not always what one says but how they say it. The comments made in this place have been derisive and not narratological.

  ???So, to say "respect your elders" has two different and distinct meanings.

  Which one of them are you reffering to???

  The context of my statements should clarify matters. I do not believe that any elderly person should be shown disrepect simply because they are old or even if they have certain character flaws. My use of the word is not just limited to elders in a congregational sense.
