some stay where they should never be, some never are where they should be; such is the roulette of time.

Purple Triangle
by Wordly Andre ini was watching a documentry last week and it was about concentration camps, i was not paying much attention because i was on my computer at the same time, however they were talking about the different badges of shame that were put on the prisoners shirts.
when they got to the purple triangle it was said that, that meant the prisoner was a religious fanatics, now growing up the jw's always said that the purple triangle was for jw's, i am not saying they were not in the camps but, there were other religous groups that the members were taken by the nazi's because of their religious beliefs not just the jw's.
not too long ago i was talking to a jw about this same topic, he said the purple triangle was only for jw's and went on about the abuse and killings suffered because the nazi's targeted jw's.

Maybe the jews dont rate being classified as a race. But I'm pretty sure they qualify as a nationality, or ethnic group, like German, Irish, polish, Italian, Jewish.
Do the Catholics qualify as an ethnic group? On the proselyte part, a lot of Jews can be proselytes under your definition because they aren't direct descendants of Abraham. The book of Chronicles (I believe?) has the list. Wasn't it kept to know the lineage of Jesus? Not every Jew is of the 12 tribes of Israel. Just Abraham's kids. Who was Keturah's (Abraham's concubine) sons? Are they considered proselytes?
The sacred story of Abraham traverses the geography of the most bitter political conflict in the modern world — beginning in what is now southern Iraq and ending in the West Bank city of Hebron. Yet Abraham is the common patriarch of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. We explore the story of Abraham in several traditions and why he might be important for people in our time. The hour also includes readings from the Bible and the Qur'an as well as music from the likes of Bob Dylan and Benjamin Britten on the figure of Abraham. http://speakingoffaith.publicradio.org/programs/abraham/

So what.Doesnt change the fact that Witnesses died for their beliefs. It seems to me that some of you on here would rather the figure was much higher for JW murders by the Nazis.
You're a strange one. I don't know how you got that thought out of the conversation??? It was the Witnesses that were trying to make it appear that they were "the greater number" of sufferers, and NOT anyone else.

I have really small hard to get vains. The last time I went to the doctors last week the nurse kind of laughed and I asked what she was laughing at. She said she wouldn't tell me till after I was done. I knew what it was. She ran out of the tiny needles I usually get and had to use a much larger one. She also stuck me in the middle of my forearm. I hate her now.
Ooooh! Sorry to hear that! I hope she got it on the first try. I had a patient that had Raynaud's. The tips of her fingers were destroyed from the poor circulation. I hated to stick her! She would cry! Almost made me cry! I didn't always get it the first time with this patient. Made my nerves bad!

Crazy, but after a while it just gets to be a habit. I have tiny deep veins myself, so i know what it's like on the other side too.
ChoosingLife, just think about the little old ladies with threads for veins and paper thin skin!
