do you feel posting on JWD helps or hinders your recovery?
by burningbridges insometimes i wonder if posting on this site helps me "recover" from the trauma that the witnesses put me through, and have no doubt it does at times.
no where else is there such a support team of individuals who know personally what you've been through and how you feel.
but at the same time, i often wonder if coming on here causes me to obsess in a way, preventing me from "moving on" with my life.

Some said that people are seeking attention. Well of course! If you're sick, you better seek attention and hope that you get supported or helped!
If you don't seek attention, you may die! Physically or mentally! That's my take. There are people at different levels of recovery here. When I seen a patient in the hospital that couldn't walk or wash his own butt, couldn't get up and go to the bathroom, couldn't pour his own water; and one day he gets up and starts looking for the door to get out, I say you're better! Of course, I'd ask him if he new his name, where he lived, and what year it is! Now, if you get one that can never get up to go to the bathroom, he's going to always need attention and support. Just like a baby.
Baby steps!

the cords were in the closed position and required tracheostomy.
i had the trach for about 5 months.

I hope there was some restitution...
None, couldn't find a lawyer here to take the case or a doctor that would testify that the doctor was below the standard of care. It's been over two years; so the statue of limitations has run out. I don't even think that they've really told me what's really wrong. The doctor took the trach out even though I didn't want him too. I told him that I was having the spasms. He, actually, saw it happen once. But he still took it out. They are willing to let me die from this.
They really messed me up and got away with it. They intubated my right mainstem bronchus and collapsed the lung too! There's nothing that I can do about it. It was the surgery from hell!
