erm not exactly. considering we are suffering with ageing, sickness and death because his first human 'creation' adam and eve ate the wrong fruit.
I often wonder why God let Satan stick around to make life even more miserable for us humans.
The way I see it..God could have bound Satan up for the duration of time needed to prove he has faithful ones who will worship him (GOD) that is.

So I would like to believe that those that haven't had that chance- ie, a baby or someone who died before doing so, would be "covered". I believe there is scripture that backs this up, but I can't remember where it is... That being said- Don't you believe that God knows the hearts of those people? There are many people in this world, past and present, that do not have the privlige others have. They grow up with nothing but brutal surroundings and live a life of brutality until the day they die. Their heart never had a chance to know love or goodness as some of us have had the good fortune to learn. Surely God will not condem them those so unfortunate.
just musing.... from the vantage point of being "out", it seems to me that being dfed would be really, really painful, but ultimately a good thing.
(i was shunned by my family when i finally left though, so i know a little of what a dfed person goes through, although i didn't put myself through going back to meetings and being shunned) .
i was publicly reproved, and was not allowed to answer in meetings, but i was not shunned.
I think they should be honest and admit....shunning is a CULT type punishment.

the movie "contact" explored that some along with how faith and science combat but yet complement each other.. would life on other planets pretty much destroy much of earth's religious myths?

You are in good company AuldSoul....Isn't that why Jesus was killed? The hypocrical religious leaders of his time were trying to shut him up for revealing the truth of their wrong doing against God?

a huge question that i have in the back of my mind regarding the wts is where all of the money ends up.
no one really has a conclusive answer to that.
i think it would reveal a lot if we were able to find out.. i know there have been various threads in the past where it revealed a clue here and a clue there.
