That is what we call being "Burned Out" To much learning coming in all at once. Then nothing more to learn on the said subject.

Who gets the money?
by Been there inafter reading sevenofnines post i was wondering........who gets the money?.
who at the top (gb) gets to live in extravagant homes, be driven in limos, take fantastic vacations and buy what ever they want?
my stupidity maybe showing but where does the gb live, bethel?

I was 6 years old when I first knew about JWs....I played with the little witness girl next door and her family wanted to take me to the KH with them. My Mother had put her foot down on that one and said a loud NO! After that, the little girl and I didn't see each other much. My Mother didn't want me to play with her. I saw her again when I became a witness and we both were married. My children and I stayed with her family for an out of town convention. I know this is OT but what I am getting at is 99% of JWs are really good people dispite the WTS and it's GB

What do they do with all that cash?
by yxl1 ini dont understand why the wts doesnt donate some of its time and resources to charity.
surely helping others in need would classify as a (the) christian act, and would bring a good witness.
imagine peoples perspective of the wts if they helped financially with high profile disasters.

I would like to see a monthly account each month from the WTS just like the KH accounts.
I want know how much money was collected and from what source. Then how much they spent and on what. The information could be published in the Kingdom ministry brochure.

Maybe they are building bomb shelters....When I made a tour of the Patterson compound the guide took me through the underground tunnel system. Of course Patterson was only half built then but the tunnels were complete as far as I could see. There were what seemed like miles of tunnels and I was shown a large excersise room and I believe some other rooms and offices underground. They said the tunnels are for traversing from one building to the next in bad weather.

Books you studied before becoming a JW
by littlerockguy inwhat book or books did you study to become a jw?
back in the mid 80s i studied 2 books, the live forever book and the united in worship of the only true god book, which took quite a bit of time to get through both of them.
now i guess they dont spend as much time with studies?

Raising money for a new KH
by TopHat insome time ago our kh became to small for 3 congregations so money was raised to find land to build a new kh to acommodate all of us.
the money raised from the jw members and the sale of the old kh would pay for what was needed.
well, the brothers searched and searched and couldn't find land anywhere so they claimed.

Blonde, When I left they, the WTS was talking about making apartments attached to the KH for the CO and his wife to stay in while visiting. The KH I went to was to small for any additions but was wondering if they are making apartments afixed to the new KHs?

Thanks Lady Lee but I am not a he...I am a she...I suspose some here think I am a "She Devil" forgive my spelling.
Let me explain...All the Hitlers that have lived in the world ( I mean evil men and women) want to imitate Jehovah in a way that only God has the right to. It is very hard for me to see people suffer by man's hand and even by God's hand. But who am I to tell God what to do. I use the scriptures for what I believe. Sorry if I offended anyone.
