just wanted to introduce myself to the group.

i've followed this site for a while, but never have contributed before.

there are many ways that we can actively protest against the watchtower's unjust and damaging policies.

here is one example of a method that is proving successful.

writing a letter is time-consuming for the author, but the results are worth it.

It seems to me that WT is doing the attacking. Note in practically every issue of the Watchtower magazine they most emphatically warn JWs not to listen to anybody who states a negative fact about the organization. They have become almost psychotic about this now and have set up a climate of fear among their members. The Watchtower Society is the attacker and they have had us on the defensive for too long. It's time we went on the offensive.

I agree with every word you said Barbara...The Watchtower is the attacker...I been telling my JW friends and my son who is a JW the same thing. This the answer I got last night from my son.

I don't why he is babbling about A/C dog houses and first class seats..that was not part of our conversation. Mainly it was about the Pedophiles in the org. and child abuse.

But then wouldn't they accuse one of attacking the WTS or JWs? At least that is my experience when I try to explain why I no longer want to associate with the Watchtower organization. I then explain that it is not an attack but a fact.

As far as hypocrisy, just look at the hypocrisy with Mexico and Malawi. Malawi JWs weren't allowed to buy a 50 cent political party card in a one-party state! Yet in Mexico the JWs could buy out (bribe) government officials to stay out of prison.

You might not think it a big deal, but imagine if it was your wife or daughter that was raped in Malawi. Imagine knowing that IF ONLY you were in Mexico everything would be fine and you could go enjoy a Tecate or Dos Equis after your morning in field service.

I still cry to this day over the Malawi brothers and sisters and you put it in words that brought more tears flooding out of my eyes.

That one story alone is enough to convine me, the WTS is an Evil organization.

The WTS do it all the time....Just read the January 15th 2006 Watchtoer. Look at how they throw out good brothers and sisters just bacuse they question some of the back-handed doctrines of GB.

That is what being a christian is about. Following in Jesus steps. What did he dedicate his whole life doing? What did he teach his disciples to do? What did his disciples do after Jesus had died and gone to heaven? Preach, teach, and made DISCIPLES.

why just because i am dfed (march) can my family and all the friends ive ever known tell me i am dead to them?.

why have i missed two important family weddings and been told i ruined them coz everyone was upset?.

why if ihave tried to please them and tried once to get reinstated and now finally felt i have to be true to myself have i caused such pain all over again?.

Cordelia, to answer your question: Conditioning.

Most Jws are conditioned to answer an exJw by repeating the answer from a text book of the WTS because if you ask them all the same question you get the same answer word for word. In my case they accuse me of attacking the JWs when all I did was ask a question and show proof. Why does the Governing Body and the WTS protect Pedophlies?

They will not listen to you just as my JW son will not listen to me....They are "Parrots of a mind control cult" They only know what to repeat from the WTS and no more. They do NOT think for themsleves.
