  the false prophet is not like the mistaken scientist or misguided philosopher---just a person in error.. the false prophet is either a deceiving imposter or a self-deceived victim of his own pathology.. any who would identify themselves as "prophet" is laying claim to a special agency of communication beyond the powers of mere mortal man.

  what credentials must such a person obtain?

  what makes them special above all others.

  A café in The Netherlands called: Lindeboom has been turned into a Church. The One and Only Universaly Church of God of Amsterdam. In this Church the holy trinity of Fire, Smoke and Ashes is being "worshipped" by litting and enjoying smokes of all kinds. The high priests of this new cult is called: Michiel Eijsbouts........

  On the other hand: Now the JW have a new reason not to smoke: It is practising false religion! Now a smoker may be DF-ed for apostacy!

  As I recall the cartoons, yes. But I do not recall this fellow you mentioned to be one of them being summoned to appear before a Jordanian Judge. Although the age of the cartoons is well over 3 years, last year there has been a rerun to commemorate the fact the these cartoons appeared and the subsequent call to infamy of the Muslim community. There's more to the whole case of the Danish cartoons than meets the eye.
  
  Your man's case is being prosecuted in Canada and if convicted, other publishers later on might face extradition if an applicable extradition treaty is in effect and a charge is brought before a judge who is to rule on 8th century appreciation of human rights.
  
  If I am not mistaken it is said the guys prosecuted now in Jordan would face a maximum sentence of 3 years in a hospitable place like a Jordan penitentiary.

  I researched it a little further, and I had to raise my eyebrows somewhat, to put it mildly. I understood that freedom of expression is guaranteed under the first amendment of the US constitution and in other jurisdiction on similar grounds. Although many topics are open to discussion, Holocaust denial is an offence in jurisdiction as Germany and Romania, to name a few. Australia seems to have rules in place to request the extradition of any person writing a webblog, comment or whatever, that falls within what they deem inciting hatred and can be accessed from Australia. Germany on the other hand has already requested the extradition of a mr Zündel from Canada and convicted the man.
  
  As Israel seems to have accepted such same laws in 2004, I have not seen any practical use of it, although in theory it might occur.
  
  The very existence of such laws and even practice constitutes in my opinion a very peculiar situation. A person may publish an item within the confines of the laws of his homeland but the laws of a foreign jurisdiction may have prevalence over them and may consider the published item an infamy punishable by .....whatever they deem appropriate. And that means bye bye, one way ticket to hell.
  
  Either, it is a terrible error of judgement of our own making or there must exist some more guarantees to protect citizens of a certain jurisdiction against these infringements of foreign powers.
  
  I would presume at least that an extradition treaty should exist in the first place and that the alleged act should be regarded as criminal act in the country where an alleged "perpetrator" resides. And that would make the case of Mr Zündel quite extraordinary.
  
  In the case of Mr Wilders....there is no treaty between The Netherlands and Jordan on extradition, at least not that I am aware of. But the very fact that his arrest is warranted may curb his options to fully employ his activities as a politician i.e. travel abroad. Although the options to appeal an extradition request are quite numerous, there may be countries which do not have such extensive options. He also is a member of Dutch parliament but a political opponent of the current administration, and that makes the case all the more complicated (and interesting)
  
  The issue not only concerns mr. Wilders. Currently Jordanian courts are looking for the arrest of the Danish Mohammed cartoon publishers as well. How about ....Christians who converted from Islam and fled Muslim countries.....?

  it sure does seem like the wtbts is subtly edging jws towards actually worshipping the fds.

  they're constantly reminding jws that all spiritual food is provided via the fds and how the wtbts are jehovah's chosen representatives.. and the nebulous hypothetical question that the wtbts has been asking of late of (paraphrased) 'will you accept and obey direction from the fds, no matter how strange it may appear?

  ' they insinuate that "in the last days," jws may be issued instructions that may, at first, appear to be outlandish, but that their very survival depends on it.. it was ominously mentioned at the last dc and was mentioned again several times in congregational meetings, especially during the book study which not surprisingly is the revelation book.. the first problem here is, the current gb, the very ones responsible for "providing food at the proper time" are not among the annoited.

  IN PRAYER: WT 1999 jan 15th page 16: no grudges and disloyalty of any kind towards the org otherwise no prayer may be offered.
  Eternally grateful towards the borg (WT 1999 dec 15)
  1986 sept 1st: give praise to the org.
  1983 may 15th: a profound and lasting appreciation for the org
  2003 march 8: a tender embrace by the org (note these expression from readers especially hardly any awake without such an expression!)
  1993 august 8: unrelenting devotion to the org
  2001 KM june: profound love for the org.
  1987 KM march: a lasting and deeply felt appreciation for the org.
  
  The above are just a few, however, by connecting the two: Jehovah.....AND his organisation they are making sure that the same reverence, adoration, love, appreciation, etc that is normally felt for God would be felt for them too........

  Has it not been Lösch who said that Jesus would come 7 times?
  
  Did you miss any of them? Apparently Lösch did. The annointed back then said he had come in 1874 but it took'm till 1943 to see he had actually come in 1914. And now in 2008 he will be coming 7 times! So if you have missed out on any previous one, don't grief for there are more to come.

  hey there can anyone post the text of the 3/15/90 article regarding the faithful and discreet slave?

  it was the article jay hess referred to in his testimony regarding the qualifications of the faithful and discreet slave and how they didn't meet the requirements they set forth in their own publication.
