MY DAD HAS LEFT THE ORGANIZATION!!
by freedomlover inhold on everybody....ready for this.... .

It's been a lot of things for him but it's been the past 5 years since he was an elder and he got to see how the org. REALLY worked. He got fed up with the hypocrisy. He was scared to leave though because he didn't want to lose his whole family. He started researching 607 when he found out that's what I researched and realized it was a s**t, but he knows about the UN, Mexico/Malawi, blood issues, etc. He just can't do it anymore.
we're not sure if he's read CofC yet but he knows all about the issues in Ray's book. We'll find out more in the next few weeks as we talk more. -

Hold on everybody....ready for this....
if you've been reading my posts over the past few months you'd see the research and progress my dad (a former elder) has been making.
He and my stepmom were visiting us this weekend and he told us he's DONE with the JW's. He's at the point where he doesn't know where he'll go from here but he knows he can't stay in. He knows about Malawi, Mexico, UN, and all the blood scandal ( plus tons of other things he's been researching). He and my stepmom will be moving by us soon, and I think they want to fade when they get here. My stepmom is in a tough place. She knows about his research and our changes. She refuses to shun us and she is not stopping any research my dad is doing but she does not want to discuss any of it right now. She told my dad she doesn't know if she can leave it because she's believed it so long. :(
She is a very loving, emotional person and right now she is not interested in the "facts" or "proof." this is going to have to be something she can deal with when she is emotionally a little more stable. Hopefully we'll be able to help support them as they begin this journey.
I'm so happy that my dad has reached this bridge. He seems so much more at peace. disturbed and a little lost, but he seems like he's proven things to himself.
thanks you guys for listening and I'll keep you updated.
maybe he'll be posting here soon!! :) -

The bomb scare - Convention
by KW13 inone of the worst things that a lot of people are scared of, is terrorism.
its an invisible enemy, to be honest i've stopped watching the news since it just got me down.. at a convention at the manchester evening news arena (used to be nynex arena) in manchester, there was a briefcase found.
no one claimed it and in the end it was thought to be a possible bomb.

I grew up going to Yankee Stadium and the Stanley Theater. they are both in rough neighborhoods and we would always get wanderers coming in from off the street.
I remember one year at Stanley theater this homeless guy walked in and sat up top where we were sitting. He was talking to himself out loud and making jerky movements and glaring at people around him. The attendants tried to get everyone around him to move and then he got "offended" at that. lol! he started saying he had a gun, and everybody MOVED REALLY FAST to get out of the way - and one of the attendants actually turned and fled for his life. The guy turned out to be harmless and they wrestled him out of there quickly.
I used to sit at yankee stadium and hear my mom and aunt talk about how easy it would be for someone to walk in and plant a bomb in there and blow up 20,000 people.....YIKES!
It terrified me as a kid. -

when I first started reading the bible on my own there were a few scriptures I couldn't get out of my mind that continued to bother me about the WTS. They are on the same lines as your reasoning...

Would a Father really destroy His children for disobeying and arrogance?
by Judas I. ineven go so far as to torment them forever?
how could that ever be justified?.
would that be also admitting failure as a father by resorting to that?.

If a father was WILLING to even offer those options to his children then that's not the father I want.

Excellent Drew!
glad to hear the "good news!" How is your wife doing? Was she there during the conversation?
