  Strange spouse behavior

  the past few weeks have been interesting.

  we haven't gone to meeting in 2 weeks.

  i simply haven't prepared to go.

  for me it was almost like when my husband finally came out with "I don't want to be a witness anymore" it was almost like I finally gave myself permission to question things. I think in some ways I was waiting for permission from him??? if that makes any sense.....
  
  let her vent about how she feels guilty. It's SO important that she is identifying that emotion from not attending meetings. When she asks you "don't you feel guilty not going?" Just emphatically reply " NO! not at all!" and leave it at that......
  
  curiousity will get her soon enough and she'll ask you why you don't feel guilty........that should start an interesting conversation.

  Should I make a stink about this or not?

  i've been working at the same hospital since 1991. a jw chick is hired this past january.

  the hospital friends have been and are my support system as well as my 'team'.. a nurse friend played stupid last week and talked to the jw girl.

  the jw asked her what religion she was.

  Feeling like I was played

  this has been bugging me so i am putting it out there.. this morning at 10:21 am i got a pm asking me toread this and see if you can guess who it is.

  the message contained info someone posted, somewhere, who sounded like they were having a hard time - not suicidal, just a hard time dealing with feelings.. my reply was to the effect that many here could fall into that category and just recommend they see a dr. i assumed they were referring to a person on jwd.. messages went back and forth for almost 4 hrs before i was given the information that this was a person on another board!!

  i finally got this info after many pms of asking what the url was.. when i suggested that the person pming me contact the admin on that board and the police in her area i was told what a cop out.. .

  with two thirds of my sentence complete, i am almost ready for parole.. there was some unbelievable stuff said today - i think there must be some sort of hallucinogenic gas coming through the ac, because no one batted an eyelid over what was said from the platform.. as usual, i will highlight the main talks.. .

  I couldn't sit through it anymore. The last CA we went to (just for show) we did loooong lunches and skipped all day Sunday. sick kids, ya know?
  
  I can't believe they tell you not to look up JW's on the internet! Can anyone say "defensive manuver?"

  Threw away educational opportunities

  i actually wrote this late last night and when i tried to submit it i was rejected.

  the reason for that is still a mystery to me and i vowed not to rewrite it as it would mean visiting myself and that is never easy.

  sometimes as i look through the site and read to many posts i marvel at the beauty of the words and the complexity of the reasoning.

  I hear ya Cabin.
  
  I have regretted so many times not going to college. I wasn't given any scholarships but I wish I had gone. I instead was sent into the pioneer ranks to waste away my youth. After two kids later, it's much harder to do the "college thing." I do have some other skills and I'm going to fall back on those now, but I do hope to one day at least go back and take some college courses on things that interest me.
  
  It's never too late to go back though Cab. You should consider it if it's something you REALLY want.

  a shameless spinoff of the tattoo thread i admit, but i didn't want to hijack it.

  what piercings were "allowed" and not allowed in your area, what have you got, when did you get it, and what do you think of piercings now that you are no longer a jw?.

  where i lived the rule was no piercings at all for men with no exceptions.

  I got my second hole in my ears the week I left home when I was 18. I did it once when I was 15 and my idiot elder stepfather flipped about how no one in his family or HIS congregation would have worldly fads like that! I had to take them out. what an idiot.
  
  got my bellybutton done about 5 months ago....STILL healing. that one is taking a while to heal. my nose is next. can't wait.
