  DC Drama: Mosaic Law == Being a Witness

  okay, so i want to talk this one over with my wife, but i need to kick the idea around here a little bit first.

  i apologize if this has already been covered.

  at the district convention this year, they did a bit about how jeroboam didn't want the 10-tribe kingdom going down to jerusalem, so he tried to set up calf worship and his own set of festivals, etc.

  isn't it strange how you can see this soooo clearly NOW, and yet for years we didn't??
  
  I for one used to just feel so inadequate, and think how ungrateful I was for complaining about ALL the meetings, assemblies, service, etc. BARF!!!!
  
  Then you see through the fog and go hey! wait a damn minute! what in the world was that Jesus dude here for then????!!!! TO GET RID OF THE MOSAIC LAW!!

  I'm 5'4" and weigh 115 pds.
  
  I tend to get the "young and innocent" comment - but then they get to know me better.... he he he (devilish laughter here)
  
  I LOVE to read, learn, and talk with people who excite me mentally. I can cook pretty well, do lots of domestic things like sew, fix things, garden, paint, work a drill and other tools. I'm not afriad of bugs or sleeping outside - in fact I rather prefer sleeping outside.
  
  I'm a hard worker. Perhaps too hard. I tend to be VERY organized, but this is getting less and less as I get older. One of my downfalls is learning to just chill out more, but I'm getting the hang of it now. Certain chemical substances has aided me in this area. :) Oh yeah, and NOT being a JW has helped this also......
  
  I can have fun with just about anybody. I'm kind of sarcastic I'm told. I've been told that I'm the perfect combination of being able to feel emotions but not be an *emotional* female. I think that was a compliment......?????
  
  My downfalls are that I tend to overblow things in my own head. I make huge assumptions in my head in a stressful situation and I think I tend to make things seem worse than they really are. When things calm down, I can see the situation for what it really is. I've been reading a book on how to get a hold of myself this way and I think it's actually helping. Yeah me! My other downfall is that I find I compare myself to other women - looks, smarts, etc. I don't get jealous, but sometimes it makes me feel inadequate. Ya know?

  Is is easier to just forget about religion as a whole??

  i feel like i am getting bitter and that is onr thing i do not want to be...but this whole religion, god thing is gets to be too much... .

  i do believe there is a creator, but have no idea what the purpose is.....i've tried the whole jesus thing, but really that doesn't make too much sence to me either....so where does that leave me???

  in limbo....so i would rather just forget it all... .

  I felt the same way at first. especially when family members started cutting me off and the shunning began.
  
  I don't know if I'd ever set foot in another church but I am beginning to be able to tolerate listening to other religious viewpoints. Just stay with the emotions you have now. Don't force them either way. Let it sit with you for awhile. Time has a way of sorting things out. I would say you'll probably start to get more comfortable with going with your gut. (something that was sooooo wrong in JW land) You'll start to be able to judge things on what *feels* right to you.

  OMG Spray Tan Disaster !!!!

  now i wasn't going to share this, but i just have to!

  i can't tan (had melanoma skin cancer) so i decided that for the long-awaited bbq on saturday i'd treat myself to a "spray-tan".

  for those of you who don't know, its false tanning where you are sprayed with the tanning all over and it lasts about a week.. what a disaster!.
