I was actually trumatised by those pics when I was a child...I used to think about them in school and wonder when the 'end' would come
My own children are so lucky they don't have to be terrorised into remaining faithful to an organised religion, so glad I am out!
my eldest daughter (21) said something that stopped me in my tracks yesterday.
we were busy wrapping christmas presents (yes, we've started early this year) for her younger siblings.
then she started laughing and said: 'isn't it nice to have christmas, birthdays, easter, bonfire night, halloween etc to look forward to instead of only looking forward to armageddon!'.
I no longer a witness but I still would not ignore A out of hand! I still believe Jesus is my saviour and he predicted these would happen so I tend to take his word for it.
Now I am not a witness I celebrate christmas and make sure my children enjoy their birthdays although I still refuse to celebrate halloween
I dont want my children to have their childhood ruined like mine was with no christmas celebration no birthday and having to lie to their friends about what they got for christmas
My children are free but also aware
