Weak moral character or not, I think we all do that.
I had a friend who was shallow and airheaded but I loved being around him because he was sooooo good looking. I didn't talk about that behind his back. And we did have fun. It was just sort of a ...trade.

Trading off rules at the local supermarket.
by greendawn inin the super market today at the only express check out where a customer can only go through with ten items or less and pay in cash, a woman was putting out about 30 or 40 items and the cashier girl said nothing.
she even paid with a visa card delaying me even more.
here is the twist however, the woman was pretty and i enjoyed being near her and looking at her body so the transgression of the rule came to have a positive value for me.

How are JW's perceived where you live?
by JH in.
around here, the moment you pronounce the word jehovah witness, you can be sure that you raised the blood pressure of the person listening.. i wonder if somewhere around the world, this isn't so ?

I don't think they're even "perceived"
One friend surprised me when I was saving some aluminum foil that some one brought to my house to cover a food dish: He said: "Hey- I thought you guys weren't supposed to use that stuff!"
Weird- where did he learn that? Maybe after one of my ragging sessions about the JWs he looked them up or something.
That's too great- some "worldly" person decides to do some research on the JWs and he comes away with the aluminum story!

I saw The Exorcist last night! ...and no demon problems yet!!! ;)
by Kudra inyee haw!
i am working my way through all the movies that are supposed to open me up to demon influences in order to attract demon possession in an effort to prove whether or not there is a god.

Yeah, what's with that catch-22 type deal? The demons don't bother ANYONE who's out of the truth ...buuuuut it's only to make them think that they're off scot-free... sooooooooo, go back to the meetings if you want the demons to bug ya...
Those sneaky ol' JWs, they got their bases covered.

I assume you are serious... but I respectfully dissagree:
I have had two experiences that I thought were demon-related. I now know that they were a sleep-paralysis sort of condition.
I thought there was a cat or dog or something walking across my chest while asleep. Now I know that is a common experience and have read about it in books like Demon-Haunted World by carl Sagan. Even though it felt absolutely completely real and I would have testified under oath that there was a creature walking across my chest.
Second, I awoke and "saw" a figure in my bathroom doorway that dissappeared when I fully came to. (this was in the period of my life when I was trying to quit MASTURBATION because I thought the supreme creator of the universe took interest in that sort of thingHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ...so, needless to say, my mind was totally under the influence of a bunch of F-ed up old men from Brooklyn, and I was susceptable to aaaaaalllll sorts of s*%t).
Those are my fabulously exciting stories and I am so glad I am not controlled anymore by the CRAP that was injected into my brain since the age of 10.

Yee haw!
I am working my way through all the movies that are supposed to open me up to demon influences in order to attract demon possession in an effort to prove whether or not there is a god.
Juuuust kidding. But seriously, I now am watching all the movies that i was utterly afraid of when I was a good lil' Dub.
I know that the Exorcist is a pretty silly movie and no one is really scared of it, but it is a classic JW no-no. It is sort of silly how something so ordinary as seeing movies like this makes me feel finally free of all the superstitious crap I suffered from as a dub.
I also walked all the way through the house in the dark to put away my ice cream in the kitchen and wasn't at all freaked out. As I totally would have been under the hooky possession of JW paranoia.
So folks: what sort of stuff can you now do that you totally thought would attract the DEMONS when you were "under the influence" of the WTBTS???

Witnessing at the WalMart in Evansville, Indiana(pics)

Christ, I'm hardly surprized that WalMart would allow some fringe fundy cult to preach on their property.
WalMarts's politics/religion is crap. They do not allow such filthy trash as FHM, Maxam, (guy's magazine, lots of sex advice, racy pics) to touch their shelves yet you can buy a gun and walk out the same day.
Go figure. They probably won't toss the JWs. They'll just spew some crap about how they promote "family values" and they'll be in like flynn.
(note: I am not anti-gun)
