Ask them...How many Jehovah's Witnesses does it take to change a light bulb?
Then give the answer......Twelve. They all live in Brooklyn, and they have to keep changing it every day for "new light"
too funny! great list.
go to the sunday "public meeting" at your local kingdom hall to share the good news of your religion with them.. ask them if they think jesus' feelings might be hurt when no-one partakes of the wine and bread at his memorial dinner.. attend the yearly "memorial" of the last supper and actually drink the wine.. tell them you know they mean well, but you believe in a god "of love and forgiveness.".
ask them how the "fruits of the spirit" are manifested by current news items regarding jws (take your pick: protecting pedophiles, exjws who go postal after being disfellowshipped and shunned, jw murderers and rapists, etc.
check the jw news page for the latest.).

I looked on Amazon yesterday and you can buy a ouija board for $19! If no one has any objections I'd like to get one to bring to the Tahoe Apostafest!

Here is an "experience", an anecdote that I may have heard here or elsewhere...
A girl (or boy or adult, doesn't matter) got up in the middle of the night and was about to go into the kitchen when from the hallway she saw the kitchen chair TWIRLING around. She was freaked out, knew it was demons and was about to flee the house. Well, she got her courage up and peeked back in the kitchen -it started spinning arond again!
She took another step into the kitchen and looked closer. Her dog had somehow twisted its leash around the base of the chair and was frantically trying to get himself unwound from the chair... in effect, twirling it around.
Just because the girl could not explain why the chair was twirling did NOT make it a supernatural occurrence...
We don't know the exact reasons why everything happens today but should not assume just because we don't underrstand a phenomenon that it is superrnatural
What about epileptics?? In the bible and in middle aged people were POSITIVE they werre possessed by demons- the was NO OTHER explanation. Of course we know now because science has advanced and we continued to look for a naturally occuring cause for these "fits"... you can see how the example of epileptics can apply to our group here...
so that word is added a few times in colossians and there many other [bracket] words in the nwt as if that makes it okeydokie...yet when these scriptures are read from any platform or stage, the reader never mentions it...so if some poor worldly person at a convention is just listening and not reading a bible...he has just heard a spurious verse....the same is true on all the wt bible readings on tape or cd....imo if you read it spurious...then it is spurious.......just a thought as no good dub would ever admit jws would ever utter such a thing...................................oompa.
oompa- yeah. And this seems like a TOTALLY huge thing... was a big deal made about it here and I didn't read about it??
also- excellent observation in your original post. :)

Wait- in the brackets-removed version is it only the brackets they removed or the words within the brackets that are removed as well??

well, you've got to expect a bunch of the people that come here to believe in supernatural things, right?...
heck, (just about) 100% of all the people on this board at one time believed in talking snakes, talking donkeys, virgin birth, a man in the sky who sees everything you do and knows your thoughts, that humans magically appeared on the scene 6000 years ago... etc...
just like you believed in those things way back when, some people still believe in other magical stuff now...
It is weird when I go back home and hang with JWs from my childhood- its like going home and finding out that all of your childhood friends are still talking about Santa Claus and waiting for the tooth fairy to come... I can't believe that those people still believe the JW line...
well, i picked my username because that's what i saw in front of me and i like the way it sounded.
no real story behind that.
i picked my avator because that's the way i felt.
Look at those hussies with their jewelery make up and flashy dresses. Do you see how low-cut that red dress is??
...everyone's facial structure was so freakish in those illustrations...
