  greetings everyone.. just wanted to say hello to everyone, being a new member from western europe.. some may know me from another forum (eden, from e-jehovas-witnesses.com), but most don't, so this is my little intro.. male, in my early 40's.

  still an active member in good standing of a jehovah's witnesses congregation in my country, and honestly not planning to change that status, despite my unorthodox beliefs.

  sometime i will elaborate the reason why i don't feel i must leave.

  James Woods, this is going on for me for about one year now. Going out on the field service is right now a bit strange. I do wish to share with others, I love to teach the Bible, but I hesitate in making a disciple out of someone to become a member of the WTS. In that regards I'm a bit divided inside. In any case, I take on the notion that preaching not only saves others, also saves myself, so I take more on that aspect.

  You are still going out in field service for the JWs, but you have also created a website which differs from their doctrine? For example:

  cofty, out of curiosity, did you read the article section that I mentioned ? Because if you did, I find it hard to believe that you think I'm "very much influenced by the Watchtower" in this particular (but crucial) thing of understanding what is the Kingdom. Because the Kingdom being a heavenly government is only one out of the seven things that the Kingdom is.

  I think you are in a very strange place religiously speaking. It is my opinion that you should figure out what you really believe before you continue to contact people in JW field service - or try to teach people things on the internet.

  Realistically speaking - it is really in YOUR hands. Not God's hands - not any more than any other human's choice of religion. God does not pick peoples religion for them. We all have an individual choice. I find it hypocritical to stay in a religion with which I disagree for social, family, or other reasons.

  the wall street journal reports that india has again made a decision to buy 42 russian sukhoi su-30 mk1 fighter jets that will be assembled in india.

  additionally india will buy 71 m--17 v-5 helicopters.

  another deal was signed for russia to manufacture the ka and mi brand of helicopters in india .

  Indonesia is supposedly the largest Muslim population in the world - but FullTimeStudent has gone badly off topic. I have come to the conclusion that FullTimeStudent has become enamored of Muslim culture and is not seeing it in the cold analytical light of day - view the thread on Women's Rights.

  The thread was about Indian Fighter Jets, and speculation on why they bought them - and who they might be used against.

  I still say the credible opponent is China rather than Pakistan - simply because China has more weight of force in their own fighter jets.

  Why oh why must the animals in Eden be vegetarians? Tell us, please, oh Watchtower of light and Truth?

  What does it imply were it not so?

  Well, for one thing - it would imply (if animals ate meat in the Garden of Eden) that God was not stupid enough to create meat-eaters and then try to make them eat cantaloups. Another strange point (never, as far as I know, explained by the Watchtower) was whether there were animals OUTSIDE the Garden of Eden before Adam and Eve were thrown out. They seem to imply that all the animals were inside the Garden and thrown out with the humans in God's Wrath - but I could never understand exactly what the animals did wrong; really, not even the snake.

  Did Rutherford Really Have Rat Bites On His Body? Dead For Three Days Before Found?

  i heard rutherford was dead for three days before anyone found him, has this been verified by outside sources?

  the rat bites creep me out, how could anyone leave a saint like him to die alone?

  James a group in Manhattan Beach claimed to have a copy of the offical autopsy, without photos it's unfounded speculation. The hyper ex-jw said the proof was beyond refuting, I agree with you James.

  I am surprised Rutherford was allowed to die without a nurse aid or any type of daily housekeeping staff. It's a insult to think their President died alone, something Rutherford feared the most and still became his reality.

  That is all perfectly logical. I think they pretty much tried to cover up the fact that he was dying (just as they covered up the women and the booze), but it is almost certain that there was someone there with him.

  Of course, the reality may not be romantically sordid enough for the true believers in the urban legends.

  To James Woods: I can understand your preplexity with people like me. Like you said, perhaps I need more time. I don't know. For the time being it is what it is. Sine I don't see shimmering lights and celestial harps descending from heaven to impart me a personal apocalypse, I can only try to follow the Holy Spirit as reflected through the Bible. Even if that sounds bland for some people, it has been an extraordinary journey for me. One that is still happening.

  Well, I don't know of anybody else here who had Gabriel come down and play the harp for them to explain the corruption of the Watchtower Society.

  So, how long has this thought process been going on with you?

  Are you still going out in field service for them and trying to make recruits?

  To James Woods: I hope that in time you’ll come to realize I’m not a troll, not a hit-and-run, and not a “competitor” to this forum. I’m a real person just as you are, who stands by the things he believes, in the best way he knows and can. I’ve read your bio info on your profile, I can say that I never met Ray Franz nor any of his close friends, but after reading Crisis of Conscience I can assure you that I felt terrible about the way these valuable brothers were chased out of Bethel HQ. One of the Watchtower’s darkest moments for sure. I understand and respect your disdain for everything that “smells” Watchtower, and won’t try to talk you out of it, but I hope that in time you may come to respect me as a person.

  Fair enough - but it is difficult for me to understand people staying in this organization (even defending it) and at the same time creating and attending ex-JW websites which are critical of it. It seems to me that the signals are obvious enough that people should be able to make up their mind to either stay in it with conviction, or leave it with conviction - and not to be riding the fence, so to speak.

  Perhaps you need more time.

  New F&DS Light question

  i have a question about the implications of the new light regarding the f&ds.

  sorry if it sounds complicated, i'm not good at explaining things.. .

  if the f&ds is now just the few brothers who get together to dispense the food at the proper time, and the f&ds will be appointed over all of christ's belongings, then does that mean they will be appointed above the rest of the 144,000 when they go to heaven?

  This new teaching is to replace the idea that Christ inspected them in 1919 and appointed them over all his eartholy belongings.

  The 1919 inspection depended on 1914 being true. Now the inspection and appointment is future they have paved the way to ditch 1914.

  Then they can sweep the embarrassing 607 issue away.

  I don't completely discount the possibility of this - but it just seems to me (on a gut level) that they are not thinking that far ahead.

  I think it is a direct result of their fear of the ever-increasing number of new "annointed" partakers - something they have not been able to control as of yet.
