I am new too, and I have never been a jw. I am not against them I just haven't heard many good things about the ones I have met. Whenever I am introduced to a new jw it usually turns out that they're just as '" worldly" as me or anyone else.

When did you realize that Witnesses weren't much better than anyone else?

when i joined many years ago, i really thought that they were almost perfect.....*cough*.
and then i noticed that many were in their 2nd and 3rd marriage..... after i noticed that many were playing lotto, talking against others in the congregation.... and just yesterday, noticed that some *good* witnesses drive way beyond the speed limit.. so, more and more, i realize that they are just like everyone else, not worse, not better, but just a little more hypocrite.

when my husband kept introducing me to jw's in the hopes I would want to be one, thats when I realized besides going to meetings three times a week they all did the same things as everyone else! They get drunk, they have sex, they have potty mouths ( just like me), they do everything we do....they just try to hide it.
