What a really sad shame,he died for a cause the Society is gradualy trying to dismantle but at the same time trying to save face.
How sick saving face more important than the life of a young trusting follower.
Another notch in the cults shamefull bloodguilt record.

Dylan Boe - another dead miserable wretch
by Kent invictim hung on to faith .
by mike o'brien.
dylan boe held on to his faith until the end.. the 19-year-old was the only one of four young friends who wasn't immediately killed in a two-vehicle crash near melville, saturday.. like preston presiloski, adam anderson and elisha stasiuk, boe was a jehovah's witness.

Wondering whether or not to join the Air Force
by Patrick_Ryan ini'm new here and i have some questions about joining the air force or not.
i'm 21 years old, i was raised as a jehovah's witness but stopped going when i was 13 because i was a kid and thought it was boring (like school).
even after i quit going i still done things that were right or i tried to still live by what i was taught and i'm greatful that i was raised that way because it kept me out of a lot of trouble and made me who i am today.

On The subject of the nearness of Armageddon the ridiculousness of the watchtower arguements of the nearness of the end can be seen by two opposite scenes.
When there is a lot of trouble in the world the witnesses claim that this is proof of the times of trouble demonstrating the near end.
Conversely when things in the world scene are looking better and things are looking up this is also seen as proof of the nearest of the end because of the Miss application of second thessalonians about a thief in the night and peace and security.
So whatever happens even opposite things in world events will always prove to an indoctrinated Witness that the end is near ,yes they can believe two opposite things mean the same thing. -

It seems from your posting that you are still affected by the programming you had as Jehovahs witness I think it is important that you firstly do some independant research into the Jehovahs Witness and prove to yourself whether they are the truth or not otherwise you will feel guilty if you make a decision without deprogramming yourself from watchtower indoctrination first.

It Really Was A Numbers Game!
by Englishman indid you know that a decline in meeting attendances was once taken as a sign that wrongdoing had taken place in the congregation?
see what you make of this:.
in the early 60s, when i was but a callow youth and still living at home with my parents, a very anxious jw mum came a-banging on our door.

That poor girl, she must have gone through mental hell.
No wonder so many JW's commit suicide and have nervous breakdowns including minors.
Its strange that the sins of the rank and file are treated so severely, yet the sins of the Govering Body including the very serious sin of False prophecy in Gods name are seen so inconsequential. -

Climbing the Corporate Ladder - Why They Do It
by Black Man inthat the wts is nothing more than a business is painfully obvious in the way many brothers seek 'positions'.
i was always highly doubtful of the 'appointed by holy spirit' bs that we were always fed.
appointments often came down to who kissed up the most to the decision-makers.

Very true!
My father became so disenchanted about not being an elder that he became inactive in the late seventies, now he is an elder he seems to thrive on his position and the prestige,I think he knows in his heart there is a lot wrong with the org,but tends to push it to the reseses of the mind.
I am quite sure if you took away his position he would be more open to the possibility of leaving.
My younger brother was also very distressed when he was not appointed as an elder as soon as he'd hoped, when he was made up he was elated.
As for me,when a witness I never ever desired to be an elder,so that power enticement offered by the borg did not work for me.
Its just a boys club! -

United Nations Getting A Little On The Side...
by messenger ini find it interesting the new found love the wt appears to have for the un.
in the two latest articles, july 22, awake and august 1, wt, they make reference to the good policies of the un and it's universal declaration of human rights.
as my memory serves, the harlot represents babylon the great (aka, false religion, aka, all religion except jw's) that commits fornication with the wild beast (aka, un representing all kingdoms of the earth) does this bring on a "new light" adjustment in wt doctrine?

So what hey are saying in a nutshell is that Satans Org has some good policies.
i wonder if the witnesses in counries like Bosnia during the cival war remembered to thank the UN,(Satan),when UN soldiers risked their lives to bring food convoys to all citizens including JWs.
The doublethink is amazimg. -

Sin, Mercy and the Watchtower Way
by Thirdson inits strange now how i find such a huge contrast between the words of the gospel accounts of jesus and the interpretation of those words by the wts.
to me it seems there is little of the gospel jesus in the wts attitude to sinning and to sinners.. i recently reread lukes account of when jesus went to the home of the pharisee, simon.
during the meal a woman of the city, a sinner, bathed jesus feet with her tears and dried them with her hair.

A couple of years ago a JW study hung himself in St,Austell in Cornwall,he felt depressed because he was pushed to give up his former friends, his football ,a hobby he loved, and felt guilty in difficulties quitting drugs and his family relationship was not so good.
After the initial honeymoon period he found the cold Watchtower reality just too much and felt he had let God down.
