  the "sacred secret" of god that creation was yearing to glimpse for so long was jehovah's plan of salvation and righteous government rescue operation.. yet, pagans, heathens and various crackpot primitives all came up with the same plan long before jehovah's was "revealed".

  something smells bad about this!!.

  i find it puzzling.. child sacrifice to appease wrathful deities is a disgusting solution to crop failure.

  so i was working with this dude, a carpenter.

  he mentions that the dc is coming up next weekend and asks if i'm going to attend.

  i tell him no, because i don't believe any of it and he's totally shocked.

  over 5,000 jws were serenaded by an elvis impersonator singing kingdom songs through microphone and amp as they exited the convention.

  it was impossible to get to your car without going within 20 feet from him.

  he would tell passers by to sing along saying, "i know you know the words!

  Over 5,000 JWs were serenaded by an Elvis impersonator singing Kingdom songs through microphone and amp as they exited the convention. It was impossible to get to your car without going within 20 feet from him. He would tell passers by to sing along saying, "I know you know the words!" A highlight was when he got down on his knees singing, "Hey there all you thirsty ones!" at the top of his Elvis-like voice. He would occasionally talk to the friends saying thigs like, "Hey, did you turn your time in yet? You know the brothers hate it when you wait until the last minute." The kids on a few occasions came up to him and talked to him much to the chagrin of their parents.

  i learned an interesting fact from my father's doctor when he was being treated for a stroke.

  mom had mentioned that even though dad couldn't speak well enough to ask for a glass of water he could clearly say, "goddammit".

  the dr. explained that epithets are from a different part of the brain and this area had not been affected by the stroke.. i found this very interesting.

  an earlier discussion has been highlighting the differences between da'ing and df'ing.

  The society all the way up until the late 80s had a practice od disassociating non-baptised members. I'm not sure if they had to be publishers or not. But my sister was one of the last ones to experience a non-baptised disassociation. She remains a loyal baptised witness to this day however.
