JWs are the kind of false prophet spoken of at deut. 18;20-22. not all religions have been that kind of false prophet.

Anybody donate blood and send in the "You're Welcome Watchtower" card yet?
by Shawn10538 injust curious if anyoner has.. you can download the ajwrb brochure from ajwrb.org, and send in the page that is pre-addressed to the watchtower society, and basically says that you have donated blood and that the blood you donated will likely be transfused int a jw saving their lives.
it then suggests a "thank you" might be in order from ther watchtower since your own life blood was sacrificed so that jws could be saved.. i think this is a powerful action.
i hope the wt gets lots of these cards, and i can't wait until someone posts the "thank you for the thought" (cuz we all know that's how they are going to word it right?

When did JWs start saying that rejecting blood was a "main tenet" of their faith
by Shawn10538 ini have been preparing to reply to dr. mark galantowicz's comment on kabc channel 7 for a few days now.
and it seems to me i read somewhere that it came out during some trial that for jws to be able to sue doctors over the blood issue, it had to be a "main tenet" of their faith.
but if anybody knows off hand it would be great.. growing up a jw pioneering and being at bethel, i would never have said that rejecting blood is a "main tenet" of my faith.

What Charliko is missing is that JWs do not believe in the human soul. They believe the soul is just the person themselves. Also, Charlinko is confusing spirit and soul, a common mistake that even JWs make about their own religion.
It is spirit that is the life force, like electricity.
Sould does not = life in the JW religion. That is false. But there are a lot of JWs I have talked to over the years that think the same thing. These people are usually uneducated or not that into the religion. Look up the subject soul and spirit on watchtower.org, and it will explain it quite well.
90% of the public tyhopugh, pivctures a ghost when they hear the word soul. So when you go on TV and say blood carries the soul, you are saying blood carries the ghost.
But since JWs do not believe in the soul, they believe that soul is the person themselves, it is like saying Dr. Smith is carried by his blood. Or Dr. Smith is in Dr. Smith's blood.
JWs believe that blood and life are closely connected, but not one inside the other, and not opne and the same thing.

will you sponsor your own exJW Blood Drive wherever you are
by Shawn10538 init occurred to me that there may be larger hot spots of ex jws in other places besides so cal.
so if you are in an area with a particularly large amount of exjws, will you sponsor an ex-jw blood drive in your area?.

I do understand that actually. But I'm such a believer in this I envision us all coming together and making something beautiful. I'm a dreamer, just like all the dreamers before me who were told their ideas wouldn't work and they were wasting their time, but then it all worked out in the end.

And it seems to me I read somewhere that it came out during some trial that for JWs to be able to sue doctors over the blood issue, it had to be a "main tenet" of their faith. It probably is on ajwrb.org somewhere. But if anybody knows off hand it would be great.
Growing up a JW pioneering and being at Bethel, I would never have said that rejecting blood is a "main tenet" of my faith. It is one belief sure, but I don't think I would even have put it in the top 20 if I was asked about it back then.
the article for KABC channel 7 was written by Denise Dador. I have tried to contact both her and Dr. Galantowicz to correct them on this point, and hoepefully I will be able to do so.
Also, the Dr. said that JWs believe that blood "carries the soul." This also is not true in the least. We all know that JWs don't believe in the human soul. So to say they believe that blood actually carries the soul in any way is a complete misrepresentation of the facts. I think the Dr. probably was fed this information purposely to cause confusion. That or he is just plain confused and not very knowledgeable about JWs beliefs.
It would be nice if some people commented on the article (search kabc bloodless surgery." I already have twice. It would evenm be cooler if some of you would try and contact the Dr. as I have to inform him of his error. Also I would like to contact Denise Dador since she would probably be interested if she is putting out false information on her articles.

Interested in sponsoring an ex-JW Blood Drive in LA
by Shawn10538 injust curious about what kind of rersponse we would get for such a thing.
the red cross wants 50 signatures before they will schedule a mobile event.
if you have a 20 x 20 room, ther donation can take places with only 25 sign-ups.

It would be nice to have an event that is condensed and advertized as "Ex-JWs Hold Blood Donation Event to Save the Lives of Jehovah's Witnesses." It's great that many of you already donate blood. But an event where we are all there at the same time would be incredibly powerful. So I appeal to JWNers to make this happen. Getting the Red Cross to create an event takes actual signatures. So there is commitment involved. Planning, scheduling, and then of course showing up. Can we do it? YES we can. 50 people in the month of April is my goal. I am also promoting this on my facebook, so there will be support from non-ex-JWs.

This is an example of Action 1 for AJWRB. Do what this woman did, over and over and over and over and over. Get other people to do it over and over and over. in the your welcome watchtower card as she did too.
