  Watchtower Michael changes

  position 1. michael is an angel that woships jesus.

  " hence it is said, "let all the angels of god worship him;" [that must include michael, the chief angel, hence michael is not the son of god] and the reason is, because he has "by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

  " michael or gabriel are perhaps grander names than jesus, though jesus is grand in its very simplicity, but the official character of the son of god as saviour and king is the inheritance from his father, which is far superior to theirs, for it pleased the father that in him all fullness should dwell.

  Nice post. I love reading about how the WTS keeps changing its mind on some things. Flip... flop... flip... flop...

  How can someone believe and follow an organization when they keep changing their mind ALL THE TIME??

  How many raised as a JW have a hard time remembering holidays?

  i'm asking this because i found myself in an bad spot monday night.

  my daughter is almost three and goes to a little preschool thing each day.

  they were to have a valentine's day party on tuesday, for which i was to bring fruit, etc.

  I'm not a JW and I'm a total holiday freak, so I don't forget any holidays, but my boyfriend is a JW, and while he scorns holidays and tries his best to ignore them, he still had to ask me last week when Valentine's Day was. He knew it was coming up, he just didn't know the date.

  Not that it really mattered. I sent him a card, of course, but he didn't do anything for me. I think he was just curious as to the exact date.

  Do things really always happen for a reason?

  ... or do people look at things that way in order to justify what is happening in our lives, and add meaning to it?

  if so is it healthy to think everything happens for a reason?

  I wouldn't say that there's a big "master plan" for everyone that's already planned out and can't be changed, but I do firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, to teach us something, or so that we can learn from our mistakes, or so that we can see both happiness and sadness.

  For example, two years ago, about 6 months after I finished high school, my high school crush asked me out, and I was thrilled, it was exactly what I'd always wanted. Then about 4 months into the relationship, he started to lose interest, and after a year of dating, I broke up with him because he was cheating on me with a close friend of mine. It was rough, but I learned that people aren't always who you think they are - everyone thought he was a great guy, we were all shocked that he'd do something like cheat on a girlfriend.

  And if he hadn't cheated on me and I hadn't dumped him for it, then I wouldn't have started going out with my current boyfriend, who's a total sweetheart who treats me like a queen. If I hadn't had that bad relationship, then I wouldn't be in the relationship that I'm in right now, and I certainly wouldn't appreciate it as much as I do.

  That's just one example from my personal experience. I've had lots of things happen to me, and I try to learn from everything. I believe that nothing in life is pointless, there's reason for everything, otherwise, why would it happen??

  But that's just my opinion.

  i was missionary for the lds 10 years ago and i met the man who most influenced me 'spiritually' , the guy who opened my eyes to really fundamental principles.

  i just called him up to chat and found out that he's left the lds faith having found no evidence for it.

  i feel a little punch drunk and a bit sick.

  Wow, that must've hit you really hard, Qcmbr.

  Just a question, if you don't mind - you've said that you'll maintain your contact with this person (good choice, by the way), but does the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints advocate some form of "shunning" for those who leave the faith??

  I'm just curious, I'm not trying to be offensive or anything.

  Thanks again for the video, it's awesome!! Gotta love watching those elders squirming on the doorstep.

  And I love how they didn't object at all when Schne-Belly said he was "making a documentary" about "high-control groups" - maybe they didn't understand all of the big words.

  Oh my GOD, that is the FUNNIEST thing I've ever seen in my life!! What a bunch of idiots!! Seriously, I knew this stuff was really weird and out there, but I've never seen so much rhetoric and avoiding the question and circular reasoning in my life!!

  And people actually believe that these men and this organization are guided by the Holy Spirit?? Give me a break!!
