Parents converted to JW in 1952. I was baptized in 1954. I disassociated in 1962 after marrying a non-JW (who later converted to JW). DF'd in 1963 after being wrongly accused of adultery by my wife, but I was so ready to cut all ties that I didn't even protest - basically tactfully telling the CongServ that I simply did not care about their decision. Suffered divorce due the influence of the JWs on my ex-wife. Have been shunned by JW family members for over 30 years, but have led a rather pleasant and stress free life since being out of the Witness cult. I was never really free until I finally decided to let it all go. Sure missed getting my college degree - thanks also to the teachings of the JWs.
