New Yorkers: how are you getting to work during the MTA strike?

i first walk across the brooklyn bridge to the wtc path terminal.
i then take the path to 33rd.

by BluesBrother ini have had a quick look and found no references to this, so - here goes..as in the mag we picked up on sunday.. worldwide % increase over 2004 = 1.3%.
memorial partakers 8524 (compared to 8570 in 2004).
most european and nth american lands show pretty static figs - britain 1% increase, canada 0%, germany 0%, france 1%, usa 0%... but spare a thought for the inhabitants of zambia where 1 person in 90 is a reporting witness, must be hell going down to the local market!

Jihad
by wombat inmy (non-jw) son refuses to talk to any of his jw uncles, aunts and cousins.
his daddy (me) da'd over 30 years ago and has been shunned by the large jw part of his family ever since.. so, in my adult son's words, he had declared jihad on the wtbts and refuses to acknowledge any of them.. he's a successful popular fellow that everyone looks up to.
they will miss him.

Yeah bother_forever...........I've once before mentioned this quote by Henry Thoreau.
"Seldom is a man so fortunate as to be related to his true family by blood".
I guess that the point I was trying to make is that a lot of those who have been doing the shunning in the past will eventually find themselves being shunned.
Like, the 2005 Report looks pretty sad. Lotsa folk want out. They may find it hard to make friends again with those that they have previously, so smugly, shunned.

My (non-JW) son refuses to talk to any of his JW Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. His Daddy (me) DA'd over 30 years ago and has been shunned by the large JW part of his family ever since.

Damn..I still have my Christmas tree up from last year. Truely. It's a potted fig tree covered in Hindu garlands, baubles, Santas, etc. It looks so good that I just never got around to taking it down.
