  Unbeliever... You would find it a very easy place to visit. This is a true multi-cultural society. If someone is a good person they are treated as such. If someone is an ar*sehole they will be treated as such.

  A 16 year old female amateur school student today won the Australian Womens Golf Masters at her nearby golf course. She beat the best in the world. Okay, she was born in Korea but she is Australian.

  Nearly half of our population are only second generation Australians. Recently we have seen a big intake of East Africans from refugee camps. They are adding another depth of colour.

  The food here is fantastic. A variety of everything on earth.

  There are a few problems from disaffected Australian -born Muslims encouraged by a few dick head Imams but they are being sorted out.

  I've always got a couple of spare bedrooms for anyone interesting.

  You didn't mention who wrote the article you quoted. I strongly suspect that it was by an Andrew Bolt who is a bull dog of Australian journalism. Very right wing.

  I cannot totally disagree with him though. I have made an earlier post about Brits migrating to Australia butI stayed right off the Islam issue. (Some of my best friends etc....)

  It has become a big problem here in recent months. People of "middle-eastern appearance" have been very troublesome at our famous Bondi Beach. They were/are very threatening and offensive. Especially to young ladies The bashing of a young life-saver was the final straw. A huge crowd of Aussie assembled to re-claim their beach. They even had barbeques going. A big party.

  Next night men of "middle eastern appearnce" torched and smashed cars throughout Bondi. No cops.

  The cops managed to arrest a few Aussies next day but no-one of "middle east appearance". It has since come out that the cops were told to lay off people of "middle east appearance" to reduce racial tensions.

  Talk-back radio got on the case and the Police Comissoner finally got the cops to act.

  Bondi Beach is under strict police control which is comforting. It's just a shame that two days ago four Aussies were stabbed and slashed by people of " middle eastern appearance". One has been arrested but he claims that he was playing cards with his friends. His girlfriend dobbed him in. Poor Muslim lady.

  Anyway, Australia is targeting skilled workers from countries that speak English as a first language and who appreciate Western standards.

  USS Ronald Reagan (I fianlly remembered the name) didn't go to Sydney. The sailors wanted some good R & R so came to Brisbane instead. And we are only a big country town.

  Yes, those Yank sailor boys have a real fuss made over them when they visit.

  Incidentally, our elected Government has sent Australian troops to Iraq so it's not all anti-Bush here.

  It's a shame that our Government (it so appears) allowed the Wheat Board to give Saddam a $300 million bribe to buy our wheat. The Canadians knocked back a similar offer but Australia took him up on his offer.

  Saddam used that money to pay the families of suicide bombers in Palestine.

  I am really ashamed to be an Australian at the moment.
