For the first few years, I was on every day for several hours reading all the old posts about WT doctrine and the scandals. I also used to spend time in chat with others, getting to know their challenges and obstacles in leaving the WT. This was very helpful in my deprogramming and helping me to get on with life. It was also very helpful in providing tools to deal with my JW family. Without this board, I would've probably admitted to my disagreement with doctrine and could have ended up shunned by my family, if not disfellowshipped.

I haven't been on in a couple of years, but am checking in now since I have time on my hands (thanks to being unemployed). Curious to see what's new with the WTS.

I see a lot of new posters and hope this board helps them as much as it helped me.

Thanks for all the updates. I see some things haven't changed (the end is near...). Glad to see the news about Candace Conti.

I haven't read everything about AWAA yet, but on the surface appears like it is an organized approach against the WTS. I hope they can do some good.

I wish I could say my life has changed for the better, but I can't. Life goes on.

In the Dallas area, most KH's and even the Assembly Hall is plain compared to other churches. I see them trying to keep up with the competition. Society in general seems to be getting more shallow and plain/simple doesn't cut it.

Who is the authority on this?

There is no one since that 1st century time period had the power or authority to do this. The reason being all things were fulfilled in the 1st century. A one time event to destroy the Old Age or covenant and to bring in the New Age. Because of unbelief Christians have been in delusion over this since 1830. They need to recognise what Messiah acheived, when and to who hew as speaking in that 1st century. The KIngdom is spiritual cannot be seen and is here since the 1st century ruling in the hearts of believers

One of the things I wondered about is if there are miracles being performed by Holy Spirit/God, and a person denies that is is a miracle - does that make a person guilty of sinning agains the Holy Spirit?

new caleb video on jw.org called "jehovah... created all things".. the funny thing is, the parallell information in the recent awake that is aimed at adults is almost as simple as this, which is aimed at 5 year olds..
