Who here has lost their job?
by daniel-p ini found out a couple weeks ago i'll be losing my job by the end of the year.
despite having a bs, and almost a masters in a professional field, an outstanding education record, and having project management experience, i've had zero luck in getting a new job.
unfortunately, i don't live in a large metro area, and so opportunities for my line of work (governmental) are limited here.

The Fine Art of Saying "I'm Sorry".
by BabaYaga inis it almost a lost art?
could you say it while you were a jehovah's witness?
i will tell you this: it took me many, many years of being out of the organization before i could learn how to say "i'm sorry" and truly mean it.

I had a hard time apologizing as well. I always thought it was because I was an abused child and if I admitted to doing anything wrong, I would get beat. As I got older, I thought that intelligence was one of my few gifts and that I couldn't admit to doing anything wrong because it would make me look *gasp* stupid. Maybe there's more to my story. Thanks for giving me another reason. ;-) I think if you believe you have the truth, have all the answers to life's questions, you believe in supporting principles (except for the principle of LOVE), then, yes, you might have a hard time apologizing.

Should I try internet dating? Does it work?
by Witness 007 insoon i will be seperated and although i will have a break from women i thought about dating web-sites......i don't know how else to do it..

Try it - what do you have to lose? Expect nothing and then you won't be disappointed. Exchange a few emails to get to know a woman. (Hint: ask questions) Meet for coffee/tea/drinks and make your escape within 15 minutes if the chick is loony. Then you'll have a good story to tell ;-)

HERE'S A BOMBSHELL ABOUT THE 144,000 DOCTRINE......
by Mary injust when you think you've heard it all............in my research for my project, i was doing some digging around on the subject of the 144,000 and came across something in the wts's literature that absolutely stunned me and, being the generous soul that i am , wanted to pass it on to you to get your thoughts on this.. .
we all know that the society teaches that the 144,000 mentioned in revelation is speaking of "spiritual israel" and not 'fleshly israel' or even other christians in general right?
there are countless quotes throughout the literature that we are all familiar with that specifically state this, but to drive home a point, here are a few:.

Thanks Mary! I don't know why the apostles couldn't be judges of a group they're also part of.

any constructive criticism such as regarding errors that may have crept in is welcome.
since i cannot embed a page i hope entering the html code works, otherwise it can be read at http://jwfacts.com/index_files/trinity.htm.
