  if i told you that something bigger is on the horizon than dateline, bbc, cbc, sunday (australia), and all other tv programs which exposed the sexual child abuse cover-up by watchtower in 2002-2003, would you believe me?

  I wonder who are the "hordes of experts who are part of the group".

  My guess is that it is $ related since she mentions "don't worry about WT figuring out" and "very few people have actually seen what's coming."

  This forum is very impressive and invaluable. I go to a spanish congregation and have served in Bethel for almost 10 years. I am happy to have "stumbled" upon this site. There are so many studious people on this board and from so many walks of life. I am very impressed. I don't know if it is just me, but it seems that culture does also play a role in the spanish and english congregations. Many bethelites would switch to a spanish congregation because they liked the "loving atmosphere." Then again, the BOEs had a lot to do with it. Thankfully I served with a BOEs who were very understanding. When they wanted to enforce the letter of the law, I would kindly refer to the love of the Christ and they would acquiese.

  The following charts are created based on the statistics published each year in the January 1st issue of The Watchtower. Data published from 1988 through 2004 were used. (2004 statistics was published in the February 1st, 2005 issue.)

  Highlight of 2004 Statistics

  This year's Watchtower statistics shows very similar trends seen in the previous several years: plateauing in most developed countries in Europe, North America, and Japan, while continuing the steady growth in most of the African, South American countries, and those in the former Soviet Union. The number of those countries with negative or zero growth has increased from seven in 2003 to 22 in 2004.

  The list of countries with zero or negative growth in 2004:
  Australia, Austria, Belgium, Britain, Canada, Czech, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hongkong, Hugary, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, USA.

  While there are minor ups and downs, these overall trends in those so-called developed conutries seem to be very stable for close to one decade. If there is any small gain, that can be easily explained by the general population growth.

  LONDON, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Filtering out useless information can help people increase their capacity to remember what is really important, researchers said on Wednesday.

  Scientists at the University of Oregon in the United States have demonstrated that awareness, or visual working memory, does not depend on extra storage space in the brain but on an ability to ignore what is irrelevant.

  "Until now, it's been assumed that people with high capacity visual working memory had greater storage, but actually it's about the bouncer (I need one or at least an upgrade )-- a neural mechanism that controls what information gets into awareness," said Edward Vogel who headed the research team.

  The findings reported in the journal Nature would overturn the accepted concept of memory capacity, which has suggested that how much a person can remember depends on the amount of information crammed into the brain at one time.

  Vogel and his team believe the results could lead to better ways to enhance memory and improve the diagnosis and treatment of cognitive problems such as attention deficit disorder and schizophrenia.
