To All Active JW Lurkers
by Honesty inin the knoxville, maryville and walland, tennessee congregations of tennessee circuit # 1.. i just want to say hello and welcome to the premier internet site where the truth about the watchtower bible and tract society is presented in colorful style.. btw, if any of you have been informed by your local elders or have been privileged to be included in a car group 'driveby' of my home at 325 winchester drive walland i left the 'christian (their words not mine) congregation of jehovah's witnesses' in late 2004 due to their lies about 606/607 b.c., their involvement with the united nations (not that i personally view the un as the 'wild beast' of revelation), their double blood policy for the country of bulgaria and foremost, their refusal to allow proper worship of jesus as king and lord and his authority as mediator between myself and the father.
i just want to set the record straight when the word 'apostate' is used in reference to my name.
i hope that you can find it in your hearts to accept jesus as your mediator rather than allowing the governing body of jehovah's witnesses to steal his authority and power over you by becoming your mediator instead.. please take a long hard look at these scriptures in psalms while contemplating your future:.

Pink slips at Bethel
by beavis indoes anyone still have any friends at bethel?
it seems that there is a massive layoff at bethel in all three american complexes.
the layoff is supposed to affect everyone between the ages of 35-50 or maybe 60. i feel sorry for persons who chose to stay there, they gave up going to college, possible job offers or making a decent amount of money, having children, the list can go on and on.

Had you visited 5 years ago and compare it to know we would not have this conversation. THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT which is huge HAS NO WORK. THE CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT which is huge HAS NO WORK.
I think the phrase "massive layoffs" is what you are hooked on. In the business world...once massive layoffs are announced, they are done quickly. The WTBTS does not want to give that impression.

Life IN or Out of JW's suck
by Smoky ini've been keeping tabs on my old congregation for the last 3+ years (i dont even remember when was the last time i went to a meeting) it is not easy, i have joined a site named 'bebo' and have a handfull of so called 'friends' in my network.
mostly from my old congregation, they seem to acknowledge my existence, but keep there distance.
no one ever invites me to anything or to hang out.. time flies and things change.

Life can suck if YOU LET IT. I went through that phase myself. It takes awhile. So what can help? I associate with my non believing family and do not think about overly think about my JW associations. Remove your bebo account otherwise it will be a drain on you - IMHO. Time to recreate your life...time to awaken the giant within you (C).wac

Attended the Circuit Assembly - the work IS slowing down.

both were obviously children of jw's.
the last circuit assembly there were at least a dozen.

OROBORUS: Bethel cannot afford to layoff a workforce all at once. Everything that Bethel has implemented takes a long time. I know, I was there for 10 years and others can vouch.It's not like they are losing money and can't afford the workers buy keeping them longer...many bethelites are marked to leave the Island. The congregations already got wind that bethel is downsizing and are wondering what is happening to the org. If the society dropped so many at once that would send the wrong message.

When you were a JW, did anyone ask you a question that caused you to doubt?
by Victorian sky inno dotrinal question could shake me, but it was a personal one, out in service that started my initial doubts.
a man asked me: 'are you really happy?
' i couldn't say, 'no, i'm miserable' but i thought it was a powerful question, anyone else asked something that really shook them?
