Another reason the WTS doesn't want JWs on the net?
by Lady Lee inwe all pretty well understand that the wts tells jws that bing on the internet is dangerous to their spiritual standing because people on the net are controlled by satan
but... maybe there is a second reason.we also know that the wts believes if people read the wt literature they will come to the wrong conclusions.
people require someone to sit with them and read every paragraph of a wt book to make sure they understand the book in the right way.we know the website for the wts is pretty sanitized so people don't run off too quicklywe know there is no place on the wts' website for discussion.

"what will you come up with next....."
whatever it is you won't have anything inteligent to add. perhaps you should go back to lieing about your fs time. by the way do you consider follow up posts you make on your weak ass threads as return visits?

there seems to be the same disconnect here as in the congregation when the visiting speaker goes on and on about the "love" he felt when he walked through the door...i never felt that "love". when you are being greeted at the door by all the other "elders" and their friends and family and various congregational butt kissers you get a different "feeling" than you do if everyone ignores you, or insults you, or gives you grief because they don't want bro. feelthelove to think they would ever associate with someone as unimportant as you are. i don't see much difference between this attitude and trying to list all the "big guns" as the first poster that you noticed when you joined jwd. the topic was posted as singular...who was, not who were. a good way to identify cliques though.

danny haszard. i found this site by googling "jehovah's witnesses", any one who did this when i was doing this would have gotten a few news hits, the two official sites, a few "apostate" sites, and what seemed like thousands of hits for danny haszard. following one of those hits led me here. i don't know how to post a picture here but there is one of him with a sandwich board that is classic. i think maybe this is the way the jews saw jon the baptizer. a voice crying from the wilderness so to speak.

i just did a google search for danny haszard...10,900 hits.

thank you mrsjones.
dido,
i'm sorry about your mom. death comes to us all, and yet it is always a shock. you would think that it wouldn't be a suprise by now. there is nothing wrong with loving your mother and celebrating her every day if you wish. guilt is sometimes a large part of our relationships with other people, but i'm sure your mother would tell you that she loved you for the things you did do; those are the important things. the things we didn't do are often overlooked by everyone, except ourselves. what you are experincing is a normal part of grieving and i'm sure you'll call on jwd if you really need to talk. i wanted to bump this to top because it felt kind of awkward appearing where it did. you might think about posting it as a seperate thread. there are lots of folks who would like to help you. best wishes for you.

i'm sure he loved his wife as much as john kennedy loved his. or at least as much as bill clinton loves his. but probably not as much as i love mine.

virgochik,
mother=satan...sometimes this absolutely true. not only that but ,father=satan's little helper. any newspaper in any metropolitan area in the world will offer more than enough evidence that this is true.
ldh,
agree with ldh=not fool; disagree with ldh=fool...if only i had known it was so simple. unfortunately not all of us were raised by the shining example of motherhood you imply you are. since you are into statistics, how many of those children that don't reach the age of five are murdered by their mothers? how many are murdered by their mother's boyfriend? how many are murdered by their mother's new husband? how many are murdered by some guy their mother picked up at the pub last night? are we celebrating these mothers also? any female fool can give birth, and guess what? it does not automatically stop them from being a fool.
juni,
"a mom never forgets the overwhelming love she feels for that newborn." unfortunately, in the real world, everyone doesn't get to ride this happy train. some of them forget and some of them never feel this " overwhelming love". it is sad but true.

question about antidepressants
by aquagirl init it bad in the dubs eyes to be on an antidepressant?im having a hard time getting a straight answer from the dubs i [sorta]know...thanks
-
just2sheep
aquagirl,
there are many here in the local congregation that know we both take antidepressants, mainly because we are advocates of any legal drug that gets you through the day. no one has ever given us any grief over it, but it might be one of those things where you are that you adhere to the don't ask/don't tell policy...and really, what business is it of anybody what your physician prescribes for you.

"Holy Spirit" ?
by HoChiMin in"holy spirit".
just what is "holy spirit?
i know what jws say it is; "gods active force" that does things god makes it do.
-
just2sheep
hochimin,
you start by stating, assume the holy spirit is a force for good. then you present no evidence this is true. instead you present evidence that this isn't true...it would have been clearer with a topic heading something like--- "good is evil. my reasoning why this is so." perhaps it is this double think that caused minimus' lack of understanding?
by the way, whatever happened to that old ho ho?
