  Did I do the right thing?

  my wife is still a loyal dub, and i allow her to take my son (13 years) and daughters (9 & 11) to the meetings, assemblies and on the service.

  i cannot talk to her about her beliefs because, well, she refuses to talk about them.

  she knows that i no longer believe, but not much in the way of detail.

  YES you have done the right thing. In fact you need to
  write a letter to the congragation stating you forbid all
  your children to attend the meetings. My brother has
  done this and even copied an elder in his old congragation.
  They have not come after him. You are the HEAD of the
  house that great sword(the bible) cuts both ways.
  So let it be written so let it be done.

  i think three of the slimiest jobs you can have in the wt org.

  1) public relations; (you have to tell lots of 12, 14, truths).

  four thumbs down.. 2) writer; (you have to be able to slant the truth or someone will replace you).. 3) legal department, ( lie with zeal for your side, and instruct others how to lie with zeal).. .

  there is a fight going on.it is great to watch it.the arch enemy borg is to get its comeupance.the rebel fleet has a new weapon which will topple the empire.too many sci-fi analogies.....yea sorry about that.. i hear about all the work being done to highlight child abuse,the blood issue and disfellowshipping.there is picketing and programmes being made on national television.it gets my adrenalin running to think about it.i qeustion myself - how much is a desire for this religion to change and how much is pure blood lust.. when will i be satisfied?.

  if the witnesses do change their policy on child abuse then there is still the blood issue to focus on.if they change that then disfellowshipping becomes the primary concern.if by some miracle they saw the light and dropped this as well - what then?.

  will i be content then or will i want more?.

  i have a vivid memory of 1975 even though i was only 6 years old.

  i remember the whispers and the fervor surrounding the year.

  i even had an uncle who marked his calendar every day with big red xs proclaiming that he couldn't wait for "this evil system of things to end.".

  As I waved good-bye to all my pot smoking, long-haired
  hippie friends(I think we were really the last class for that) going off to college. I started begging and begging for the end to come, as I worked like a dog in a steel mill.
  Funny my prayers were not answered---------------
  I really don't know how I'm going to pay my rent at the end
  of the month either. I sure hope the end gets here in the
  next to weeks. Ah but I got this feelin' it ain't happenin'.

  I was never concerned about the fish it seems your god
  wasn't either being he did nothing special for them.
  I have a problem of all the strange animals finding
