Yeah, Meg Ryan. She never did anything for me. Isn't she married to Antonio Bandana?

The worst films you watched
by greendawn inwe often talk about the best films that we have seen but what about the opposite, what were some films that really disappointed you either at the cinema or at home watching them from a dvd (or vhs though that got outdated now)?
one film i found very boring was the "horse whisperer".

Global Warming - it's happening right now, how will you respond?
by truthseeker inthis is really worrying.... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11951694/.
whatever the causes, whether you think it's global warming or just another cycle, millions of people will be affected and so will the animal kingdom.
how will you respond if the worst happens, and the sea starts lapping at your front door?

When you put it that way I kind of get a warm fuzzy feeling about JoeHoba Dodd and all his wonderful creation. Maybe I should go back to the TRUTH.

Yes, I received the same PM (twice) from Wilfred. I'm very excited. I have never had a chance to make this much money in my whole life!! I called my employers this morning and told them to go to hell. I have sent Wilfred all my personal info., credit card numbers, Social Security number, checking account number, etc. I should soon be getting a certified check for several million dollars !!
(Of course I'm kidding. But there are lots of people who have fallen for this kind of scam. Hard to believe)

Hallelujah,
Be sure and wash your veggies good before you eat 'em. Otherwise, you might start making more fertilizer than you know what to do with!

Nina,
I think what everyone agreed that what was fair was that brothers who were in the construction field should not have to pay out of pocket for the equipment, gasoline, supplies etc. They were covered for their hard costs. Many of them refused even this reimbursment. Believe me, no one made any money on these projects except for a 'wordly' contractor or supplier. Can you imagine a brother who works in construction five days a week and goes to five meetings a week plus field service and then he gets peer pressured into all his weekends for several weeks? I think this is why the "quick build" projects got popular. Get it over with so you can get back to spending more time in prayer and Bible study so you could be spared at Armageddon and live forever.
Meanwhile the Watchtower Society took title to a building and land that cost say $100,000.00 and was worth $250,000.00 the day it was finished. They would have only loaned maybe $75,000.00 with the local Congs. kicking in the rest to a building fund. Multiply this by several thousand properties. Not a bad racket.

Once, when I was about 22 we were building the KH south of Santa Barbara in Carpinteria. We were doing the hot tar roof and some volunteer helper sloshed a bucket of scalding tar off the edge of the roof and it splashed on a brother down below. Got his right arm and hand. He was taken to hospital with a very bad burn. Of course, the Society got the real property and he got the medical bills.
Seemed their were always brothers in the construction trades to supervise and I remember them all as great guys. All in all, building Halls and working in food service at the conventions was the most fun I had with Org. related activity.

Dan the Man, we could be boob brothers!
Yes, I used to go see anything with Elizabeth Shue in it. My first movie star crush was Sophia Loren. Now, it's Scarlett J. Check out "Match Point", good movie.

Couple of years back, Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, Keanu Reeves (as a surgeon!!) We went with another couple. I have blocked out the title with brain scar tissue. I took a long bathroom break and checked out the video games in the lobby.

We rotated the chore by bookstudy group. When I was very small I liked to go up on the platform and look out on the chairs to get a different perspective from my usual position. My least fave was when it was time to pull weeds and wash windows.
