one of the most unbelievable privileges that a brother could have was being a microphone handler.
elders would discuss brothers for hours and see whether or not we would allow them to mow the lawn or handle a mike.
i always felt that these brothers were doing us a favor but if they didn't get a minimum of 10 hours in per month, they were dog crap and couldn't have any privileges.

One of the last little straws, that irritated me was last week while sitting on an elders meeting, we debated for about half hour whether a brother "qualified" to carry microphones.
His report said an average of 7 hours a month, however one elder decided that as a family head you would knock off 4 hours for his family study hence only 3 hours counted.
Can you imagine the frustration of working with such petty men.
we in the uk are holding 2 day seminars in september and october for all elders.. i presume that this is the case worldwide.
these are supposed to be a supplementry course to last years kms.. however our do eluded to "new information on how elders handle sensitive matters".
i will be interested to see if there are any changes to procedures, however my knowledge leads to conclude that any changes will be for the benefit of the corporation not any victims.. cas.

my friend was swiddling with his car when he noticed a group of jws going door to door, one of them (a lady) approached him and said they wanted to interest him in the bible etc etc.. he said that jesus christ was the head of his household so he couldn't accept wt publications.. he also said u should pratise your faith or something similiar.. he also made an interesting observation,all the jws were carrying laptop computers!.
the idea,being they could beam images onto your living room wall or insert a cd rom into the laptop to show u things.. my friend believes they r carrying out a test run using laptops in their ministry.. is he right?.
I think your friends are mistaken.
There is no trial being made of using laptops on the doors.
Most Brothers and Sisters struggle with tracts and mags anyway.

I think you will appreciate that the Society is riddled with corruption of one kind or another, the type that the grassroots JW has no idea about, however I will need to build up a new kind of faith and confidence as these matters become public knowledge in time.
