On some level I do thinks they buy some of thier own BS but there is also little doubt they have outright lied to cover thier butts on certain issues Blood being one and so they have allowed people to die based on something (I believe) they know to be in error for that they should be very accoutable not to mention the UN or the Sexual Abuse cover up.

Something I Found Funny The DC
by FadingAway ini recently went to the dc in duluth, ga this past weekend and i have to say, it was the best one yet.
the restaurants around the area were superb!

Yeah I noticed that also. The other thing that caught my attention is how they kept refering to the Golden Calf in the drama as representing Jehovah and I couldn't help but think "what is supposed to be representing Jehovah on earth today?" could it be an "earthly organization". Just my two cents

Why do the majority of "newbies" disappear ???
by kid-A ini have noticed that, in general, there is a "core" of regular posters on jwd that have been members for several years.. however, it seems the vast majority of "newbies" disappear after a couple posts, days or perhaps a week.
how many "welcome" or "introduction" .
threads have we had here where the new member disappears within a day or so, never to post again?

If it comes out that he has had this problem before and Bethel knew of it they are going to be caught red handed in the media telling lies. I can deal with most things I just can't stand to see my wife cry and of course there is alot of that she is smart, b eautiful, and kind it's just tough to see her in so much pain we really wanted this I could go to a million meeting and listen to a million lies with a smile on my face for the sake of my wife and child.

I sat awake last night thinking of all the nice people on this board and wanted to share a little about my situation. My wife suffered a miscarriage (it was our 3 rd ) this time at 4 months. We have tried for 6 years and we were sure this would be the one. Anyway my wife is wonderful but also a diehard JW that has led us to disagree from time to time and with the pregnancy she wanted a promise I would raise our child as a JW even though I agreed it was hard now I am really lost I had prepared for a future my wife child and even the JW’s. Now I am a little lost and very depressed but I get a lot of support here and want to thank everyone who offered their support without knowing what had happen. I made a list thanks to you all

Dub Parents who neglected health issues of their kids

a friend of mine mentioned that he was bitter about the fact that his dub parents neglected his oral hygiene and health because they thought the new system was around the corner and since he would be perfect, his teeth would automatic be healed.. this guy only went to the dentist 2x as a child and really did need brace - we used to call him "bucky" because of his teeth.. as an adult he had the majority of his teeth removed because they were beyond fixing.. do you know of other examples of parents neglecting the health of their kids because of the impending "new system".

Yeah I can relate Parents never took us even though I know they couldn't aford it there were programs that could have helped. I had very strong teeth but also needed braces Mom always said why waste money on something Jehovah will fix. So I endured the name calling and grew up the good JW that my Mom wanted now I have braces and it hurts but now I feel I can smile now funny how a little thing can damage a teenagers self esteem
