i just want to know out of interest how many here still believe in god and christ and that the bible is god's word.
my faith in the wts is gone but i still love god and his son.
i've noticed that many here have lost their faith in god as well as the wts.

Twitch, please allow me to explain. The non-believers on this forum sometimes appear to outnumber the believers (but maybe they just comment more on the threads I've been reading.)
Be that as it may, I'd been away from the forum for awhile, overwhelmed, in my wounded state, by the great amount of disillusionment I'd been finding here. Then I received, what I perceived to be, prodding from holy spirit to return to the forum. One of the first threads I encountered when I returned was the above question from Tornapart. The question just seemed to jump out at me and confirm that it was, indeed, holy spirit that directed me back here. God had answered my prayers for guidance, in other words.
Perhaps that means I've healed to the point that I can handle other people's disillusionment better now. I hope so, and I hope Tornapart will also heal without losing faith in God and the Bible.

Greetings, Tornapart,
A resounding YES to your question. And sometimes I feel just like you, lonely. But I keep praying for holy spirit to guide me and then I feel better.
I know that God, through Jesus and holy spirit, shows me scriptures when I ask Him to. (He shows scriptures to several other members of my family, also.) When I'm feeling especially lonely, he shows me scriptures about regathering His scattered people. He showed me such a scripture very recently and it inspired me to resume posting on this forum. (I've been neglecting this for some time.)
So, I was very happy to find your question in the Active Topics. It was like an answer to prayer, a reassurance that, although cast out of the WTS, my family and I are not alone.
Please don't give up praying for our heavenly Father to guide you.
Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
Christian love,
Scatteredsheep
P.S. to anybody on this forum who's inclined to ridicule the idea that God shows us scriptures: I will simply ignore such ridicule.

Thanks, sizemik, for working so hard to validate this and keep it posted.
I recently found a video on YouTube that could help us see what sort of things the police may be uncovering as they prepare for the next court hearing on February 21, 2012.
The video is an Australian news program (from ninemsn.com) regarding sex abuse cover-ups by JW elders. This is by far the best news coverage I've ever seen on this issue. Not sure when it was originally aired, but it sure ties in with what's going on right now.
Once the danger of compromising the current case is over, maybe someone should notify ninemsn.com? It sounded like they were interested in doing a follow up.
Anyway, the video is in 3 parts. Link to the first part is here:
