  Actually I can't take credit for the word it was Bill O'Riley's word of the week...I had never heard the word before However, it sure did fit the WTBTS in my mind. It's great to have my mind back by the way.

  Yes, I read Diane's book "Awakening of A Jehovah's Witness",and it is a very true depiction of what life in the cult is like for most female members...it's a very worthwhile read for all but especially women in my humble opinion. http://www.dianewilson.net/ Grammy

  Christians - Does a JW baptism count as Christian?

  i tend to accept that mine did - i was baptised prior to the changes that made one a 'watchtower disciple'.

  my dedication was and is to god - prob the reason i am finally out.. opinions?.

  The first and only time I was ever baptized was in 1974 as a JW at age 31 but I had no comprehension of what baptism was all about due to my lack of bible knowledge so no, I don't feel like my baptism counted for anything. I have much more bible knowledge now but thanks to the research I have done in the past seven years concerning the bible I'm comfortable with not being a baptized Christian, I want no part of religion of any kind...these are my own personal feelings and they don't reflect on anyone except me.   I was a JW from 1974 to 2000 when I disassociated, during the 70's and early 80's I was confronted at the doors many times by an angry householder saying "You people don't believe in Jesus" it's sad how they ignore Jesus in that so called religion.

  Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses is basically the Service Dept. Thanks for your replies everyone...I remember the "apostate" group in the 80's we actually had Jehovah's Christian Witnesses on the KH sign and had to change it, that's why I was surprised to see they were referring to themselves as Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses now. I told my hubby I saw that on here and I don't think he really believed me.

  i've seen little bites about this for over a year.

  i understand that somewhere there is a video in which a woman named pat garza publicly accuses wts governing body member ted jaracz of having molested her as a child.

  does anyone have this video?
